Footrest Extends Angularly Of Depending Legrest Patents (Class 297/76)
  • Patent number: 11426008
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention are directed to a convertible children's high chair. According to various embodiments, the convertible high chair generally includes a first child seat supported above a floor by a high chair frame, and a second child seat configured for being removably coupled to the first child seat. The second child seat is configured such that, when detached from the high chair's first child seat, it can be used as a booster seat. In certain embodiments, the second child seat includes a base surface configured to stably support the second child seat on a separate support surface.

Abstract: A seating-unit mechanism includes various components that control a position of the seat and backrest and that control an extension and retraction of an ottoman and footrest. For example, the mechanism includes a linear actuator that controls a seat pitch (e.g., height and level of recline). In addition, the mechanism includes an ottoman-linkage drive mechanism, which might include a drive link or another linear actuator.

  • Patent number: 8684452
Abstract: A high-seat folding chair includes two pairs of front legs and rear legs pivotally connected with each other so as to be operable to unfold or fold the folding chair. When unfolded, each of the front legs and the rear legs form an angle relative to a horizontal plane. A footrest is mounted between the two front legs. Two opposite portions of the footrest bend symmetrically in a horizontal direction to form horizontal portions, respectively. The two horizontal portions further bend upward to form inclined extensions, and a portion of each inclined extensions forms a flat portion. An angle defined between the inclined extension and the horizontal portion is equal to an angle defined between the front leg and the horizontal plane. The inclined extensions of the footrest are respectively affixed with the two front legs, such that the footrest is mounted in horizontal.

  • Patent number: 6692078
Abstract: An articulated footrest assembly for a seating unit comprises a footrest member moveable between a retracted position and an extended position, a telescopic linkage for extending and retracting the footrest member between the retracted and extended positions, and an actuating linkage. The footrest member comprises proximal and distal portions while the telescopic linkage comprises a stationary support member mounted to the seating unit, a first telescoping arm, and a second telescoping arm. The first telescoping arm has a distal end connected to the proximal portion of the footrest member through a first pivot. The second telescoping arm has a distal end connected to the footrest member between the proximal and distal portions through a second pivot spaced apart from the first pivot. The actuating linkage comprises a first linkage portion interposed between the stationary support member and the first telescoping arm and a second linkage portion interposed between the first and second telescoping arms.

  • Patent number: 5979977
Abstract: A plate-shaped footrest assembly for a chair; includes a footrest for support of the rear side of the legs of a user, and a footplate for placement of the feet of the user thereon, with the footplate being so linked to the footrest as to permit a pivoting between a stowed position when not being used and an unfolded position when in use. The footplate extends in the unfolded position at an inclination to the footrest. In stowed position, the footplate forms a major central area of the footrest while projecting in the unfolded position almost entirely across a useful support surface of the footrest.

  • Patent number: 4691964
Abstract: A power reclining chair positionable by the operation of independent electric motors to which the leg portion, the seat portion and the back portion of the chair are each selectively responsive movement-wise. The leg portion is characterized by an extendable foot section which is movable from a normal position to an in-line position with respect to the longitudinal direction of the leg portion, and conversely. The instant power reclining chair may assume a variety of use positions, as, for example, an upright or sitting position; comfort, as reclining, positions; and, a substantially flat position.
