Abstract: A side dump body including a plurality of side dump bodies pivotally mounted on a truck or trailer frame. Each of the side dump bodies may be individually pivotally moved from a transport position to a dumping position through the use of a single hydraulic cylinder whereby the contents of the dump body units may be dumped from the side of the truck or trailer. The design of the dump body is such that it has increased carrying capacity and is lightweight and less expensive to manufacture. Further, the end walls, side walls and bottom of each of the side dump bodies are secured together by an adhesive or glue rather than welding.

  • Patent number: 7350872
Abstract: A wheel supported grain wagon includes a container with sloping side walls extending to an incline bottom wall, and a gravity discharge opening is formed within one of the side walls adjacent the bottom wall. A door panel is supported by tracks for movement between an upper open position and a lower close position covering the opening. A grain discharge chute extends from the opening and has opposite side walls connected by a bottom wall. The chute is adjustably supported by a pair of horizontally aligned pivot pins projecting into corresponding slots within a pair of side support brackets secured to the container. The slots extend generally perpendicular to the side wall and have longitudinally spaced bottom notches which selectively receive the pivot pins in response to manually lifting and shifting the discharge chute for selectively positioning the outer edge of the discharge chute at different elevations.

  • Patent number: 7207631
Abstract: The side discharge bulk material trailer includes a frame with two I-beam members. A plurality of A-frame members are attached to the I-beams. A fore and aft extending tube is attached to the apex of each A-frame. Floor plates are attached the upward facing surfaces of the legs of the A-frames. A front wall and a rear wall are attached to the frame. Upper doors and lower doors are provided in the side walls. The lower doors have a lower edge pivotally connected to the frame for pivotal movement about a horizontal axis. The upper doors have a top edge pivotally attached to the end walls for pivotal movement about a horizontal axis. Hydraulic cylinders pivot the doors to open and closed positions. Locks retain the lower doors in a closed position. The lower doors hold the upper doors closed.

  • Patent number: 6840729
Abstract: A trailer for transporting round bales has two bale support cradles one on each side and pivotal about an axis along the side between a first lifting position in which the cradle extends outwardly and a second transport position in which the cradle is located on the support area for transport on the frame. Each cradle has bale support rails carried on polygonal axially spaced rings defining a cylindrical chamber so that a bale can be lifted by rails on each side from the ground rotated onto the frame for transport and rotated back to its initial position with its flat spot back on the ground. A backstop member can be moved from a first position closing the rear end to allow the bales to be discharged from the rear end by forward movement of the trailer.
