Including Cam Actuator Means Patents (Class 298/23B)
  • Patent number: 4710087
Abstract: A bale accumulator is provided for use in conjunction with a baler from which, during operation, bales successively are discharged. The accumulator comprises a bale receiving table movable between a home position for receiving a bale from the baler and a bale transfer position. A loadbed is disposed to receive bales from the bale receiving table and to accumulate a plurality of bales thereon. The bale receiving table is pivotally mounted on a shuttle mechanism which itself is movable along a transverse linear path between retracted and extended positions. A table positioning mechanism is provided for moving the receiving table from its home position to its bale transfer position and vice versa. A loadbed positioning mechanism pivots the loadbed from a horizontal home position for accumulating a plurality of bales thereon to a bale dumping position and vice versa.

  • Patent number: 4595210
Abstract: The invention is a trailer suitable for hauling fruit bins or the like, pivotally connected to a hitch and supported by an axle assembly which includes an offset cross shaft. An hydraulically actuated cam assembly rotates the cross shaft so that the rear end of the trailer can be lowered to the ground for easy loading and unloading without raising the forward end. The trailer also has a stop mechanism on its rear end which is actuated by the same cam assembly which rotates the axle, so as to automatically place it in operative position when the trailer is raised.

  • Patent number: 3958829
Abstract: A mechanism for automatically shifting the tailgate latches of a vehicle-mounted dump bed as the same is being raised to insure that the tailgate is free to swing open and permit the load to begin discharging during raising of the dump bed and thus avoid a top-heavy, over-balanced condition. The mechanism also provides for the automatic latching of the tailgate during lowering of the dump bed and includes a trip arm mounted on the underside of the dump bed for rotation about a transverse, horizontal axis.
