  • Patent number: 9138910
Abstract: A tip 14 is rotatably attached to a tip holder 10. The tip holder 10 is made into a cylindrical shape and its end has an installation part 16. An opening is arranged at a holder joint. The tip holder 10 is attracted by a magnet for attachment so that detaching and attaching can be performed easily. Tip offset data is recorded as a 2-dimensional code 17 on the surface of the tip holder 10. When replacing the tip holder, the offset data is read out and inputted to a scribe device, thereby canceling the offset. This eliminates the operation required for correction when attaching/detaching the tip holder and enables easy tip replacement during a short time of device stop.

  • Patent number: 8844421
Abstract: A small glass cutting wheel for producing a scribed predetermined breaking line, wherein the cutting wheel has a radial peripheral line which defines an outer periphery of the wheel and which lies in a main plane of the wheel and at least partially forms a cutting edge. The cutting edge includes cutting teeth which are circumferentially spaced from each other by intermediate tooth spaces and the height and/or circumferential extension of the cutting teeth exceeds a surface roughness. A small glass cutting wheel for manufacturing flat displays can be manufactured with an improved edge quality so that rejected glass plate pieces can be reduced. At least a part or preferably all intermediate tooth spaces include a cutting edge. Preferably, the cutting edges of the intermediate tooth space and the cutting edges of the teeth are arranged approximately in the same main plane of the small wheel.

  • Publication number: 20100186239
Abstract: Provided is a manual cutter comprising a holder fitting unit (30) having a holding hole portion (35). A tip holder (10) for the column-shaped manual cutter includes a tip (14) rotatably fitted at its one end, and a positioning attachment part (16) formed by notching the other end. The holder attachment part (30) is caused to fix the tip holder (10) in the holding hole portion (35) by abutting and pushing a fixing screw (38) onto the positioning attachment part (16). As a result, the complicatedness of the tip fitting and replacing works can be eliminated to make the tip proper without any error.

Abstract: The invention relates to a small glass cutting wheel for producing a scribed predetermined breaking line, wherein the cutting wheel has a radial peripheral line which defines an outer periphery of the wheel and which lies in a main plane of the wheel and at least partially forms a cutting edge. The cutting edge includes cutting teeth (7) which are circumferentially spaced from each other by intermediate tooth spaces (8) and the height and/or circumferential extension of which exceeds a possible random surface roughness. For providing a small glass cutting wheel with which particularly flat displays can be manufactured with an improved edge quality and with which rejects during the necessary separation of the glass plate piece can be reduced, it is proposed that at least a part or preferably all intermediate tooth spaces (8) include a cutting edge (9).
