  • Patent number: 7340839
Abstract: Disclosed is a hair clipper having a moving lower blade, in which the lower blade moves so that upper and lower blades reciprocate in opposite directions and cross each other. In the hair clipper, an eccentric cam is connected to a rotary shaft of a motor installed in a main body, and an eccentric shaft formed on the eccentric cam is inserted into a fixing groove formed in an upper blade fixing plate and vibrates horizontally, the lower blade is mounted on a blade support, such that the lower blade can move horizontally, and is fixed to one end of a link, the central portion of which is fixed to the blade support, and the other end of which is fixed to the lower surface of an upper blade fixing plate, to which an upper blade is fixed, and thus, when the upper blade fixing plate vibrates horizontally by the rotation of the motor, the lower blade vibrates on the blade support by the link in the direction opposite to the vibration of the upper blade.

  • Patent number: 5441445
Abstract: A de-hiding tool includes a handle section with a long blade cover, a pair of counter-rotating and oscillating cutting disks mounted face-to-face and driven by eccentrically mounted drive arms operated by a self-contained air motor, a short blade cover mounted to a side of the cutting disks opposite from the long blade cover, and an adjustable blade support which includes an adjustment shaft extending through the blade covers and providing a means for adjusting the spacing between the blade covers from the outside of the tool housing. The blade adjustment system includes an insert with threads accessible from the outside of the housing to adjust the size of a gap between the blades by corresponding movement of a spacer inside the cover. This controls the face-to-face pressure on the blades to make them cut more efficiently and to compensate for the blades being ground thinner when resharpening the blades.

  • Patent number: 5427445
Abstract: An interlock structure of the cable type for stacked plural drawer cabinet structures which limits the opening of drawers to a single drawer and prevents plural drawers being opened at the same time. An elongate base or frame is mounted in the cabinet adjacent to the drawers. The frame supports plural (one for each drawer) eccentric blocker elements and adjacent follower elements and supports at one end a provided slider element having limited movement. A cable is attached at one end to the slider and at the other end to the frame with an intermediate loop which provide two cable courses, one of said courses threaded on the successive blockers and the other course operably threaded over the respective adjacent followers maintaining the respective blockers and followers in operative engagement. The blockers are moved by interference engagement by a selected drawer.

  • Patent number: 5122092
Abstract: A power skinning knife with a drive mechanism that may be easily removed for cleaning and a high efficiency pneumatic motor. The main drive gear is located on the same side of the pinion gear as the drive mechanism cover plate permitting removal of the drive mechanism without removing the drive motor. Other improvements include a replaceable main bearing plate in case of bearing failure damage, a combined drive mechanism cover and barrier plate manufactured of a different material than the remained of the housing to increase wear resistance, hollow drive pins to reduce the oscillating mass and operating vibration, and a spring mounting for the motor to assure accurate alignment of the motor and gearing system after each disassembly of the tool.

  • Patent number: 4998401
Abstract: To mow even soft grass more tidily in shearing mode without kicking pebbles, a pair of two grass cutting wheels are pivotally driven by an engine in two mutually-different directions. One cutting wheel is slidably fixed relative to the other cutting wheel for safety. The mowing machine can be used in common to shear off grass on the ground and trim a garden tree by adjusting an angle between a hollow grip pipe and the machine cutting surface.

  • Patent number: 4531291
Abstract: The clipper is driven by a flexible shaft from a stationary motor supported by a stand clamped to an edge of a grooming table. Because the motor is not incorporated in the clipper casing as characterizes prior art clippers, the casing is lighter, operates at a cooler temperature and can be made more powerful by utilizing a motor of higher rated horsepower and rpm than the smaller type motors incorporated in a clipper casing.
