  • Patent number: 9216512
Abstract: Provided are scissors with excellent safety that can more reliably prevent finger pinch when being closed. In the present invention, finger pinch prevention guards 20a, 20b for preventing fingertips from entering the opposing inner surfaces 10a, 10b side from above or below are formed on left and right operation portions 7a, 7b. This can prevent user's fingertips from reaching the opposing inner surfaces (10a, 10b) by setting the user's fingertips inserted into finger placing holes (6a, 6b) along upper and lower surfaces of the finger pinch prevention guards 20a, 20b. Consequently, when the operation portions 7a, 7b are in the closed position, the fingertips are prevented from being pinched between the opposing inner surfaces 10a, 10b so as not to cause finger pinch.

  • Publication number: 20100212165
Abstract: The present invention relates to a new type of scissors for hairstylist which allows the hairstylist to optimise the cutting operations, in particular by eliminating the need to go over the tip of the locks of hair with the tip of the straight scissors or to go over the locks of hair with trimming scissors in order to move the edge of the lock of hair, which is straight when the lock of hair is cut using the straight scissors or other similar known models of the prior art. Instead, the scissors according to the present invention allows in a single cutting operation to obtain a “perfectly irregular” end of the lock of hair, obtaining an irregular line of perfect measure and combining the gripping comfort and the manageability of the scissors for hairstylists with the efficacy of a tool capable of obtaining a non-straight cut of the lock of hair, conferring in this manner a greater comfort of use and a greater efficacy to the scissors.

  • Patent number: 5289708
Abstract: The lock cylinder with an external housing accommodates, on its rear face, a closure element acting upon a mortise lock or the like and with an exchangeably inserted core unit the casing of which contains housing pins as tumblers and a cylinder core equipped with a key channel, said cylinder core also receiving core pins as tumblers and being connected merely in a plug-in manner to coupling pins which issue from said closure element and project freely into a socket in said external housing serving for insertion of said core unit, wherein engagement of said coupling pins extends only over a rear region, which is free from key channels, of said cylinder core.

  • Patent number: 4722257
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for cutting threaded rods. This apparatus essentially comprises a frame (1) to which a square (2) is fixed by a bolt (6), the said square having a semicylindrical threaded nest (2a) at the top, and to which a moving part (3) is jointed, the said moving part being provided at the bottom with another semicylindrical threaded nest (3a) arranged opposite the one (2a) located in the fixed part (2). The moving part (3) is actuated by a force-multiplying lever (4).The threaded nests (2a and 3a) come to bear against the threaded rod (5) at the moment when cutting takes place, so as to preserve the integrity of the thread of the threaded rod (5).Application: building industry.

  • Patent number: 4194286
Abstract: The cutter comprises a cylindrical pipe closed at one end by a plate having a plurality of eccentrically spaced holes. The pipe is externally threaded into the internally threaded pipe with a closed end having an eccentrically located hole for mounting over the protruding end of a Johnny bolt which is to be cut off. The externally threaded pipe has an upper end with holes drilled therethrough for receiving a wrench bar, wherewith to forcibly turn the externally threaded pipe within, the internally threaded pipe when the hole therein is mounted over a bolt end which extends through one of the holes in the closed end of the other pipe, so that by turning said pipes relative to each other the protruding bolt end may be broken or cut off.

  • Patent number: 4050152
Abstract: A shearing cutter for wire and cable, particularly insulated metal wires and wire bundles as used in electrical and electronic circuits, is constructed in the form of a hand tool with elongated, hinged handles adapted to develop shearing forces between cooperating blades cantilevered beyond the hinge point from each of the handles. The blades are symmetrical in shape and define a substantially circular opening between semicircular bights sharpened into cutting edges in each of the blades. A wire or cable is maintained in a central location with respect to the aforementioned bights by the enveloping nature of the cutting edges, resulting in a clean, uniform shear plane.
