Abstract: The hand truck foot hook may comprise a retaining strap and a hook. The hand truck foot hook may be adapted to pull the bottom of a hand truck out from under a load using a foot of a user. The retaining strap may detachably couple to a shoe worn on the foot of the user. The hook may be coupled to the retaining strap such that the hook is accessible on the top of the foot. The hook may removably engage the bottom of the hand truck such that the bottom of the hand truck is pulled back when the shoe is pulled back. As a non-limiting example, the hook may engage an axle of the hand truck.

Abstract: The gardening kit is a collection of tools configured for use in the weeding of agricultural plots such as gardens. Each component contained within the gardening kit is configured for use without requiring the gardener to bend over during weeding. The gardening kit comprises a weeding device and a clipping collector. The weeding device is a bladed device that is worn in the manner of a boot. The weeding device is used in the manner of a hoe to either: 1) cut directly through unwanted growth; 2) agitate the soil in a manner that cuts the existing unwanted growth from their roots; or, 3) remove or otherwise dig out old roots from the soil. Once the clippings and other debris have been accumulated via the weeding device the clipping collector is used to pick up and dispose of the accumulated clippings.

Abstract: An inventive device to aid mobility-limited users of gasoline-powered handheld tools while crank-starting of same is disclosed. In particular, the invention is a tethering device to prevent a tool such as a chainsaw from jumping or kicking back when crank-started by an operator with limited bodily mobility, particularly of the back, preventing placing of the tool on the ground for crank-starting. The inventive tethering device allows the operator to remain upright while safely cranking the on-board engine. The inventive device comprises an elongated tether member having first and second ends, a foot placement member for placement of the operator's foot to secure the device and restrain its movement, affixed to the first end and an attachment means for attaching the tether to a chainsaw, affixed to the second end of the elongated tether member.

Abstract: An extendable tree trimming saw is made easy to handle by providing a foot plate on which to rest the weight of the pole and a winch for raising and lowering the saw. The extendable pole is pivotally connected to the foot plate, preferably through a coil spring or elastomeric mass that aides in holding the pole upright and restoring it to an upright position after a cutting operation.

Abstract: Provided are shavers that are particularly applicable to shaving a user's head, but that may be utilized for shaving any part of the body. More specifically, a shaver according to the present invention has one or more of the following elements: a wheel or other rolling device on the same side of the shaver as the razor blade or other shaving component, an adjustable finger hook for accommodating fingers of different sizes, and an attached stand for supporting the razor blade or other shaving component when the shaver is set down.

Abstract: A cake-layer cutting apparatus for allowing a user to slice layers of cake accurately and evenly. The cake-layer cutting apparatus includes a frame, which includes a first support, a second support and a handle portion that extends between the first support and the second support. The frame is designed to be passed over and along side the cake. The first support includes a first support slot that extends vertically through the first support. The second support includes a second support slot that extends vertically through the second support. A plurality of wires extend between the supports for cutting the cake as the cake is passed between the supports.

Abstract: An improved self-powered device for wearing on the back and for use by right and left handed operators in cutting foliage of the type having a backpack portion, a gas engine attached to the backpack portion, and a foliage cutting portion operatively connected to the gas engine. The improvement includes the gas engine being swively attached to the backpack portion so as to allow the gas engine to rotate from one side to the other relative to the backpack portion for allowing use by the right and left handed operators and so as to allow the foliage cutting portion to move forwards and backwards relative to the backpack portion without the right and left handed operators having to move relative to the foliage which would be required if the gas engine was rigidly attached to the backpack portion.

Abstract: The present invention is a swim fin equipped with extendable knives which can be used by a diver to fight off an attack by a predatory underwater creature, such as a shark. The knives, when in their locked closed positions, lie in a recessed section provided in an outside edge of the swim fin. In their locked closed positions, the knives lie parallel with a bottom surface of the swim fin. When extended to their locked open positions, the knives point downward from the swim fin. The swim fin is provided with means for locking the knives in their open and closed positions, unlocking the knives from their locked open and locked closed positions, and moving the knives between their open and closed positions.

Abstract: A rotary blade cutter (10) including a semitubular rotary cutting blade (12) rotatably mounted within a tubular housing (14). The tubular housing 14 includes an entrance slit (22) and a diametrically opposed exit slit (24) for insertion of a web into the cutting device. A first cutting edge (32) is formed along a first side of the entrance slit. The semitubular rotary cutting blade includes a first slit (36) nominally aligned with the housing entrance slit when the rotary blade is in a retracted position, and includes a second cutting edge (48) that is formed adjacent a second side (46) of the entrance slit to oppose the first cutting edge. The second cutting edge is tapered to spiral around the longitudinal axis of the housing. The rotary cutting blade includes a spiral groove (50) that coacts with a guide pin (52) projecting inwardly from the housing to constrain the rotary cutting blade to rotate about the longitudinal axis of the housing when the rotary blade is longitudinally advanced within the housing.

Abstract: A ground-working tool for attachment to the foot of the wearer includes a base plate for attachment against the underside of a wearer's shoe and a pair of ground-working hoe blades rigidly supported beneath the base plate. The hoe blades are generally flat in shape and are arranged in a common plane with one of the hoe blades being positioned beneath a forward portion of a base plate and the other hoe blade being positioned beneath a rearward portion of a base plate. Further, each hoe blade defines a forwardly-directed cutting edge and a reawardly-directed cutting edge which are parallel to one another and which extend transversely of the the base plate. When the tool is moved by the wearer's foot in a fore-and-aft scuffing action, soil loosened by the cutting edges is permitted to pass across the blades through the space defined between each blade and the base plate.

Abstract: An agricultural or garden tool attachment for shoes or boots including a bracket, a garden tool adjustably attached to the bracket and an encompassing structure for extending under and around the toe or heel of a boot or shoe. Strap are provided for attaching the encompassing structure to the shoe or boot. Other garden tools designed for many different purposes can be interchangeably attached to the bracket.

Abstract: A defense weapon, comprising a toe boot which fits over the toe of a wearer's shoe and held securely in place by straps, one on each side of the toe boot, which are carried to the rear of a person's shoe, there tightly fastened and held by a belt and buckle type fastening device.To the front of the toe boot is attached a long steel bolt having a very sharp point, and having four sharp cutting blades, that are welded to the spike bolt, near the pointed end of the spike bolt; the blades are spaced at ninety degree intervals around the circumference of the bolt.The four bladed spike bolt can be unscrewed and carried with, and then when the defense weapon is needed, in times of danger, the bladed spike bolt can be screwed into the toe boot adapter, and hand tightened, making the defense weapon ready for use.
