Abstract: A trimmer razor including a handle, a head operatively connected to the handle, the head including a base member, a seat extending from the base member, and a cover connected to the seat, and an extension arrangement connecting the cover to the handle so that, upon rotation of the handle. The cover is movable between an open position and a closed position.
Abstract: A shaving system includes a razor having a handle and a safety housing with a blade extendably received within the safety housing. An integrated sharpening system incorporates an armature receiving the razor, the armature being movable from a first position for attachment and extraction of the razor and a second position for sharpening of the blade. A sharpening mandrel is provided with a first sharpening surface for sharpening a first side of the blade and a second surface for sharpening of a second side of the blade. The sharpening mandrel is rotatable from a first position for engagement of the first sharpening surface to a second position for engagement of the second sharpening surface. The sharpening mandrel is laterally oscillated for sharpening of the blade. A controller is provided for positioning of the armature and sharpening mandrel.
Abstract: A self sharpening razor system includes a razor having a handle and a safety housing with a blade extendably received within the safety housing. An integrated sharpening system incorporates an armature receiving the razor and movable between a first position for attachment and extraction of the razor and a second position for sharpening of the blade. A sharpening mandrel is provided with sharpening surfaces for sharpening first and second sides of the blade. The sharpening mandrel is rotatable from to engage the first sharpening surface and second sharpening surface. The sharpening mandrel is laterally oscillated for sharpening of the blade. In alternative embodiments, sharpening is accomplished with reciprocating honing plates with available stropping wheels or integrated honing and stropping wheels with exposure adjustability and sharpness adjustability via honing time variance. A controller is provided for positioning of the armature and sharpening mandrel.
Abstract: A razor treatment system includes a razor having a head, and a razor treatment device including a drum rotationally supported within the razor treatment device, at least two cam members supported within the razor treatment device, at least two guide members configured to cooperate with the cam members to expose the blade, and a first actuating member configured to effect rotation of the drum. The head includes a cover for housing a blade. The cover is configured to expose the blade. The razor interfaces with the razor treatment device to move the cover of the razor to expose the blade. Each cam member may define a cam track that guides linear retraction of the blade, rotational movement of the blade and cover, and linear extension of the blade into a position between the drums.
Abstract: A treatment device for improving the cutting properties of the blade of a non-electric shaving razor. The device has a treatment surface for interacting with the cutting edge of the razor blade, as the blade is put into sliding contact with the treatment surface. The treatment surface has a plurality of resilient honing projections that are compressed as the blade is moved in sliding contact with the surface.
Abstract: In accordance with one aspect of saving audio source identifiers for soundtracks in a gaming system, an audio track is obtained from an audio source and the audio track is saved so that a copy of the audio track is available when the audio source is no longer accessible to a game console. The audio track is at least part of a user-created soundtrack and/or a user-selected soundtrack. The identifier of the audio source is also saved, and when a database containing meta data associated with the audio track is available, the meta data associated with the audio track is obtained from the database, based at least in part on the identifier saved on the storage device, and the obtained meta data is stored.

Abstract: Apparatus, kits, and methods for sharpening electric shavers having rotary and reciprocating-type cutting members are disclosed. A sharpening apparatus in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention may include an applicator tray or other applicator means, and an abrasive material configured to abrade and sharpen the cutting surfaces of the electric shaver, when actuated.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for sharpening razor blades and the like whereby rectangularly-shaped magnets are placed end-to-end in a rectangular enclosure that snaps on securely over a razor blade during non-use times in such a manner that the magnetic field generated by the magnets acts upon the cutting edge of the blade so as to maintain the sharpness of the cutting edge.

Abstract: A method of sharpening the blades of a rotary shaver having rotating discs with a plurality of cutting blades consisting of the following steps. Firstly, substitute a cup shaped sharpening head for a comb-like shaving head on a rotary shaver. The cup shaped sharpening head has a flat abrasive bottom in communication with cutting blades on the rotating disc. Secondly, activate the drive motor whereby the disc rotates rapidly rubbing the cutting blades against the abrasive bottom of the cup shaped sharpening head.
Abstract: Apparatus for sharpening a razor blade including a sharpening member, a housing for securing the sharpening member therein and for guiding a razor blade in back-and-forth sharpening movement within the housing. The housing has a transverse slot for inserting a head of a razor blade holder therein, and a longitudinal slot in a top plate thereof for linear movement therein of the handle which carries the blade holder. The sharpening or honing member is preferably made of a plate of glass secured to the bottom wall of the housing.
Abstract: A rotary action electric razor which has a blade with heads rotating in an annular, slotted comb, is sharpened by inserting between the blade heads and comb a flat, annular, flexible disc having a sharpening abrasive surface and having a tab extending generally normal to the plane of the disc and away from the slots in the comb.
