Responsive To Reaction Force Between Can And Cutter Patents (Class 30/404)
  • Patent number: 10403455
Abstract: A switch structure used for switching on or off an electronic system is provided. The switch structure includes a base, a switch body pivoted to the base, a first electrode connected and moved along with the switch body, a second electrode disposed on the based and corresponds to the first electrode, a torsion assembly, and a power source. The first electrode and the second electrode are electrically connected to the electronic system, respectively. The torsion assembly is connected to and drives the switch body, so as to drive the first electrode and the second electrode to switch between a conductive state and a non-conductive state. The power source is connected to the torsion assembly, and the power source provides a torsion to the switch body via the torsion assembly in an automatic state so as to switch the switch structure between the conductive state and the non-conductive state.

  • Patent number: 9897511
Abstract: The growth/buckle tester relates to a device for testing strength of metal cans. Using the position of the can on top of Belleville spring and expandable rubber bushing, holding by sectional clamps with turning cams and middle central part from outside, permitted create uniform holding and clamping force in horizontal direction. Using chamfers on holding plates and turning cams for holding the testing can vertically create necessary space around the stand for growth/buckle tests. The chamber created inside the can with almost the same volume of volume of air for the test reducing dispersion of measurement values. Cuts around of Bellville spring make path for delivering testing air pressure for the growth/buckle tests. Angle of rotation turning cams depend and control by outside diameter of testing can.

  • Patent number: 9073430
Abstract: A method and system for measuring driver reaction times is provided. The method includes identifying a driver of a vehicle and determining reaction times associated with a set of driving functions executed by the driver during a first driving process. The driver is determined to be currently driving the vehicle and currently executed driving functions are monitored. Current reaction times associated with the currently executed driving functions are identified and compared to the reaction times. Differences between the current reaction times and the reaction times are determined and logged. The differences indicate that the driver is currently executing a first driving distraction event and in response specified functions associated with the currently executed driving functions and/or the first driving distraction event are executed.

  • Patent number: 4860455
Abstract: An automatic can opener is described which is operable using a single hand to complete the opening of a can merely by positioning the can in an opening position. Particularly, the can opener senses when a can has been placed in a position to be opened, and automatically retains the can in this position and begins cutting the top thereof. Subsequently, when the cutting is completed, the can opener automatically terminates the cutting operation while retaining the can in position. Thereafter, when a user begins to remove the can, such action is automatically sensed, and the can is automatically released for removal.

  • Patent number: 4734985
Abstract: A battery powered can opener includes a cutter assembly that is pivotally mounted at the front of a housing for a motor, batteries for powering same, a speed reducing gear train and a switch for controlling energization of the motor. The clutch assembly is movable to a position for retaining the opener on the bead of a can whose top is to be severed. After mounting of the opener on a can, a manually operated switch control remote from the cutter is operated to start the motor which acts through the gear train to drive the opener around the bead. As the motor starts, a wedging action between the can cover and the blade of the cutter assembly causes the latter to pierce the can top, and continued energization of the motor results in the blade cutting the top along the bead. Cutting results in the production of a reaction force that acts through the cutter assembly and a latch to hold the motor energizing switch closed after the switch control is released.
