With Operator And Relative Blade And Guard Adjustment Patents (Class 30/61)
  • Patent number: 6526660
Abstract: A device for trimming and shaping a moustache or beard has a handle having a shaving head with a blade assembly mounted on one end. The blade assembly carries one or more blades and is movable relative tot he handle so that in a first position the blade assembly is generally parallel to the handle, in a second position the blade assembly is generally perpendicular to the handle, and in an intermediate third position the blade assembly is mounted at an angle corresponding to a conventional shaving angle. A guide member for facilitating fine motor control when using the device may be mounted on either side of the shaving head to occupy a vertical position in which the guide member extends vertically from the top of the head or a lateral position in which the guide member extends laterally of the head.

  • Patent number: 4501067
Abstract: A razor blade assembly, in the form of a razor or shaving unit, comprises a top cap 114, a razor blade 113 fixed relative to the top cap, and a guardbar 115 which is pivotally movable relative to the blade from a shaving position, in which the blade is exposed for shaving, to a protecting position in which the guardbar prevents contact between the cutting edge of blade 113 and a user of the razor. The guardbar can be formed integrally with a platform 112 on which a second blade 123 is secured, or the second blade 123 could be secured to the top cap. In either case the guardbar and platform will pivot between the shaving position and the protecting position, and in latter position both blades will be protected.

  • Patent number: 3931905
Abstract: A combination opener and closure device for press tab type beverage containers is disclosed. The device includes a circular top plate having a downward depending peripheral flange. Integral projections extend from the interior surface of the top plate adapted to align with the weakened tab portion of the can. One embodiment of the device includes an annular seal carried on the flange interior so the device can be used as an effective closure and seal for storage purposes. The present invention relates to an opener for beverage containers and more particularly relates to a device for opening cans of the type having press tab tops. One embodiment of the present invention also serves as a closure for previously opened containers. It is common to provide containers for substances with metal tops having weakened closure areas which have to be depressed by the user.
