Abstract: A razor cartridge including a housing; a trailing blade assembly mounted to the housing and including a trailing blade with a blade tip; a leading blade assembly mounted to the housing in front of the trailing blade assembly and including a leading blade with a blade tip; and a skin support element affixed to the leading blade assembly and extending towards the blade tip of the trailing blade assembly. A horizontal length of the skin support element may be greater than a distance from a trailing part of the skin support element to the blade tip of the trailing blade assembly.

Abstract: Shaving apparatus including a drivable shaving unit for performing a first shaving action on a user's skin; a motor adapted to drive the shaving unit to perform the first shaving action; a blade having a razor-sharp cutting edge positioned for shaving engagement with the user's skin; and a guard surface provided in front of the razor-sharp blade. During use, the blade performs a second shaving action to cut hair while the drivable shaving unit performs the first shaving action. The first shaving unit may be rotary or linear and may have a static or moving skin-engaging cutter. Two razor-sharp blades may be provided, facing in opposite directions.
Abstract: A shaving blade assembly having a blade unit with at least one blade and a guard bar positioned in front of the blade. A cantilever guard is positioned in front of the blade unit defining a gap between the guard bar and the cantilever guard. The cantilever guard has a plurality of spaced apart fingers extending transverse to the blade. The fingers have a wedge shaped cross section in a direction transverse to the blades and are movable relative to the guard bar between a first position and a second position during a shaving stroke.
Abstract: The present disclosure is generally directed to a personal grooming product or device (e.g., foil shaver, rotary shaver, etc.) having a metal coating on one or more surfaces thereof, the grooming product being designed for contacting the skin (e.g., the human hand or face, or the skin of an animal, such as during the act of pet grooming). More specifically, the present disclosure is directed to a personal grooming product or device having a layer of some measurable thickness on such a surface, wherein the layer comprises or contains a tarnish resistant, hypoallergenic and/or antimicrobial silver-containing alloy.

Abstract: According to the present invention, a razor cartridge includes a plurality of skin-engaging elements disposed on a frame. The skin engaging elements include at least two or more substantially blades having a sharpened cutting edge, a first inter-blade guard, and a cap. The two or more blades are disposed on the frame in parallel relation to one another. The first inter-blade guard is disposed on the frame between two (2) blades. A rinse-through gap extends across substantially the entire length of the frame between the first inter-blade guard and the blade aft the first inter-blade guard.
Abstract: A safety razor cartridge includes a plurality of elongated blades disposed in a housing between a guard and a cap. The blades have substantially parallel sharp cutting edges. The plurality has first, second, and third consecutively disposed cutting edges. A distance between the first and second cutting edges is greater than a distance between the second and third cutting edges.
Abstract: A hair trimming device includes a cutter and a handle member. The cutter is substantially rectangular and flat and includes a blade and a frame. The handle member includes a hollow interior containing the cutter while the cutter is not in use. The cutter in use is exposed out of the handle member and is mounted above the handle member to be in line with the handle member. The frame member is configured to form a first contact line with a skin and at least one edge of the blade is configured to form a second contact line with hair. The second contact line is more distal from the skin than the first contact line.
Abstract: A blade cartridge for a wet shaving device comprises a housing defining a cavity in which at least two blade assemblies are disposed. Each blade assembly includes a plurality of blades defining respective cutting edges that are substantially parallel to each other and generally face the cutting edges of another blade assembly. The blades are mounted on a carrier, and a wire is spirally wound about the cutting edges of the blades along the length of the cutting edges.

Abstract: In order to provide a razor head for arrangement at the front end of a handle, which, with a simple construction and easy assembly suitable for mass production and low manufacturing cost, improves the results of shaving and also can be used at body locations which are difficult to access for cosmetic and medical purposes, a razor head (1) for arrangement at the front end of a handle (2) is proposed, with a housing (3) in which are inserted at least two razor blades (8, 10) at an angle to each other and with essentially parallel cutting edges pointing away from each other, which together with adjacent housing parts define at least one contact plane, to which the respective razor blades are arranged at an essentially optimum cutting angle.
Abstract: To improve the method for fixing protective strands to a razor head, the razor head is provided with a plastic body having an upper side that defines a surface for engaging the skin of the user, with the plastic body also having a front side and a back side. A razor blade unit is disposed in the plastic body. A series of strands are spaced along the length of the blade unit and are fixedly attached directly to said blade unit.
Abstract: A razor blade unit includes a support member and at least one razor blade secured to the support member with a cutting edge extending from the support member. A wire is wrapped around at least a portion of the support member and the cutting edge of the razor blade with several space side-by-side windings traversing the cutting edge at an angle substantially perpendicular to the cutting edge. The strand is preferably a metal wire having a diameter of less than about 0.1 mm. The support member has grooves at its edges in which the wire is seated to prevent slip-page of the wire in a direction transversed to the edge of the blade.
