Track Formed Of Rigid Nonmetallic Links Patents (Class 305/159)
  • Patent number: 11937656
Abstract: An adjustable hat bill having a first link and a second link. The first link has a first link male member and defines a first link female receiving area. The second link defines a second link female receiving area. The first link male member is located within the second link female area, and the first link and the second link are capable of some rotation in relation to each other to selectively adjust the shape of the hat bill.

Abstract: A crawler track for a crawler tracked vehicle is configured for running via a drive wheel and via bogie wheels. The crawler track has an outer ground contact side and an inner wheel contact side. The inner wheel contact side is formed with a flat surface from which a plurality of guide horns project to guide the crawler track during the movement of the crawler tracked vehicle. At least parts of the flat surface serve as the running surface for the bogie wheels. Cavities are formed in the flat surface for the engagement of drive pegs of the drive wheel.

Abstract: Providing a crawler core member that can be coupled in a simple operation without employing dedicated coupling components, and that can suppress deformation due to input from a road surface. Coupling can be achieved by a simple operation without employing dedicated coupling components, and deformation due to input from a road surface can be suppressed in a crawler core member 20 that configures an endless crawler belt 13 when plural of the core members are disposed at uniform intervals along a peripheral direction S and the peripheral direction adjacent core members 20 are coupled together. The core member 20 includes a pin portion 22 extending in the width direction, a hooking groove 34 integrally formed to the pin portion 22 and hooking onto the pin portion 22 of an adjacent core member 20, and a pair of wing portions 30 integrally formed to the pin portion 22 and respectively disposed at both width direction sides of the pin portion 22, extending towards the width direction outsides.

  • Publication number: 20120112526
Abstract: A device for connecting two free ends of a rubber band track to one another or for connecting the ends of several band segments to one another. The device has two or more tubes and a pin rubber-mounted in the respective tube. The tubes are in each case inserted into the one end and into the other end of the rubber band track or of the band segments, and at least one connector, by way of which the pins are coupled together in a rotationally fixed manner. The rotational rigidity of the pins in relation to their respective tube, brought about by the rubber mounting, is adjusted in dependence on the flexural strength of the rubber band track or of the band segments in the region of the ends.

  • Patent number: 7410225
Abstract: An endless track comprising a plurality of links which are releasably, rotatably coupled together to form an endless track, and wherein each of the links has a male linking end, an opposite female linking end, and an outwardly facing surface, and wherein the male linking end of a first link releasably couples and decouples from the female linking end of an adjacent second link when the angular relationship between the first and second links as measured between the outwardly facing surfaces thereof lies in a range of greater than about 45 degrees to less than about 110 degrees, and wherein the first and second links freely rotate one relative to the other when the angular relationship between the first and second links lies in a range of greater than about 110 degrees to less than about 270 degrees.

  • Publication number: 20030122423
Abstract: A track assembly for a track-type machine includes a link assembly having a plurality of interconnected link sets forming an oval track path, a plurality of track shoes, each being coupled to a respective link set, and an elastic member located between a plurality of successive link sets and a plurality of respective track shoes. The elastic member extends continuously along each individual link set of the plurality of successive link sets. The elastic member may extend along substantially the entire oval track path. The elastic member serves to stiffen the link assembly and thereby reduce the amount and force of impacts between the link assembly and other elements of the undercarriage of the track-type machine, resulting in a reduction in the amount of noise emanating from the machine operation.
