Including Discrete Connector To Connect Opposite Belt Ends Patents (Class 305/182)
  • Publication number: 20120112526
Abstract: A device for connecting two free ends of a rubber band track to one another or for connecting the ends of several band segments to one another. The device has two or more tubes and a pin rubber-mounted in the respective tube. The tubes are in each case inserted into the one end and into the other end of the rubber band track or of the band segments, and at least one connector, by way of which the pins are coupled together in a rotationally fixed manner. The rotational rigidity of the pins in relation to their respective tube, brought about by the rubber mounting, is adjusted in dependence on the flexural strength of the rubber band track or of the band segments in the region of the ends.

Abstract: A crawler has a track connection system. The crawler includes a crawler frame; at least one drive tumbler supported on the frame; a track made of a plurality of track shoes connected in series to produce a track having a first end and second end that can be connected together to form the track into an endless track. The track is wrapped around the frame, with the first and second ends spaced apart but each adjacent a section of the frame. The track connection system is mounted to the frame and includes a mover device connected to the frame; and a track engagement member coupled between the mover device and the track; iii) whereby actuation of the mover device causes the track engagement member to move the track into a position where the first and second ends can be connected.

  • Patent number: 7300119
Abstract: The present invention relates to a rubber crawler including: a joint formed by joining together opposite ends of a crawler body comprising an elastic member shaped like a belt having the opposite ends; and lugs projected at predetermined space intervals along a longitudinal direction of the belt and arranged on an outer circumferential surface of the crawler body. The joint is disposed on the outer circumferential surface of the crawler body, as located in a ground non-engaging portion and at different positions with respect to the longitudinal direction of the belt, the ground non-engaging portion defining an area excluding the lugs. In this way, stress acting on the joint is distributed or reduced.
