  • Patent number: 11575320
Abstract: A controller for a SIMO DC-DC converter operable in CCM and DCM receives a signal representative of an inductor current, and signals representative of a first and a second DC-DC converter output. The controller has a first and second output adapted to control electronic switches coupled to a first and second output filter, and a third and fourth output adapted to control current in an inductor. The controller controls the outputs based upon the inputs by determining a desired PWL inductor current and current waveform, and determines pulsewidths of the outputs, to match the inductor current to the desired PWL. A timer controls pulsewidths of the outputs and the controller dynamically selects DCM or CCM to maintain the first and second DC-DC converter outputs at predetermined levels. Abstract: A power generation/distribution system includes a RAM air turbine (RAT) generator and an emergency integrated control center (EICC) that selectively applies either primary power provided by a primary power source or emergency power developed by the RAT generator to an alternating current essential bus (AC ESS bus) for distribution to one or more essential loads. The EICC monitors the primary power and in response to a loss of primary power selectively disables the supply of power from the AC ESS bus to the essential loads and manages subsequent loading of the RAT generator by the essential loads.

Abstract: Method, modules and a system formed by connecting the modules for controlling payloads. An activation signal is propagated in the system from one module to the modules connected to it. Upon receiving an activation signal, the module (after a pre-set or random delay) activates a payload associated with it, and transmits the activation signal (after another pre-set or random delay) to one or more modules connected to it. The system is initiated by a master module including a user activated switch producing the activation signal. The activation signal can be propagated in the system in one direction from the master to the last module, or carried bi-directionally allowing two way propagation, using a module which revert the direction of the activation signal propagation direction. A module may be individually powered by an internal power source such as a battery, or connected to an external power source such as AC power.

Abstract: An interlock arrangement allows a floating neutral electrical generator having a receptacle, such as a duplex receptacle, absent GFCI protection to be used to provide electrical power to the electrical system of a home or other building during utility power interruption. The interlock arrangement includes structure to disable or prevent access to the duplex receptacle when the electrical generator is coupled to the power cord used to transfer electrical power from the generator to the electrical system of the building. Thus, the duplex receptacles cannot be used to power electrical devices when the generator is connected to supply power to the electrical system of the building. Conversely, when the generator is physically disconnected from the electrical system of the building, the interlock arrangement exposes or supplies power to the duplex receptacles, and may be configured to close access to the receptacle used for connecting to a building electrical system.
