  • Patent number: 5749125
Abstract: A hinge bracket assembly for a flipper door comprises a bracket body to which a pair of spaced rollers are fitted along an edge thereof. The rollers are spaced slightly from a flange portion of the bracket body to define slots therebetween. A hinge arrangement is provided along a forward edge of the bracket body for hingeable attachment to a cabinet door. The bracket flange portion is slideable within a simple J-channel mounted to an inside wall of the cabinet whereby the rollers bear against a flange surface of the J-channel and serve to inhibit rotational movement of the bracket body relative to the J-channel as the body is guided lengthwise of the channel. A pair of such brackets each mounted to opposite sides of the door thereby allows the door to freely retract into the cabinet without racking.

  • Patent number: 5520451
Abstract: A disclosed guide device for a flipper door includes a pair of main rails disposed in a cabinet body, a pair of auxiliary rails slidably supported respectively on the pair of main rails, and a pair of sliders slidably supported respectively on the pair of auxiliary rails. Two corner portions of the flipper door are rotatably supported on the pair of sliders, respectively. The guide device further includes an association mechanism for associating the auxiliary rails with the sliders respectively. The auxiliary rails and the sliders thus associated with each other by the association mechanism are slid along the main rails together, respectively. The association mechanism removes the association between the auxiliary rails and the sliders when the auxiliary rails have reached substantially innermost end portions of the main rails, respectively. • Patent number: 5395165
Abstract: A cabinet door or doors are each hingedly mounted to the slide brackets of a pair of slide track assemblies which, in turn, are secured to a side wall of a cabinet. A pair of inelastic cables of substantially the same length connect the upper and lower slide brackets in a prescribed configuration to prevent skewing of the slide brackets at all times. One of the cables extends rearwardly from the upper bracket across an upper rear pulley, downwardly and forwardly around a lower front pulley and back into the lower bracket. The other cable follows the opposite path from the upper bracket forwardly around an upper front pulley, downwardly and rearwardly around a lower rear pulley, and forwardly into the lower bracket. Because the cables are of equal length, they insure that vertical alignment is maintained.
