Formed By Closure Operable When Closed Patents (Class 312/188)
  • Publication number: 20150137672
Abstract: A storage and display system is provided having a plurality of panels connected to one another in an adjacent manner in which items, particularly comic books, can be placed therein for viewing, storage, preservation and display. The panels further include an enclosed volume on the front thereof having at least one open side which can be an open upper in a preferred embodiment, thus forming a sealed pocket type enclosure for the insertion of items therein. The device is made from a material that can prevent the permeation of air and sunlight therethrough and thus facilitate the preservation of the items held within. A flap located along the panels provides attachment hardware for mounting the device onto a wall surface for the display of the comic books and other items therein. The panels are sufficiently flexible as to allow a user to fold and/or bend the panels at their respective connection points.

  • Patent number: 4718739
Abstract: A system for supporting documents such as multi-leaf computer print-out documents is presented and uses a holder having a main support member having a pair of support posts for supporting documents and a closure member pivotally mounted on the main support member for movement between an open position wherein documents can be mounted on or removed from the support posts and an intermediate position having a portion superposed over the support posts. The closure member can be moved in a linear direction from the intermediate position to a fully closed position in which the main support member and the closure member are locked together. Guiding forces control the linear movement of the closure member and frictional forces function to hold the main support member and the closure member in the fully closed position.

  • Patent number: 4329001
Abstract: A dispenser for folded paper napkins including an enclosed cabinet having an opening in the front thereof through which napkins may be removed individually. A pair of V-shaped guides are mounted on inside surfaces of opposite sides of the cabinet. A drawer for holding a supply of folded napkins has a pair of V-shaped ribs formed along opposite sides which slidably engage the guides to movably support the drawer within the cabinet. A carriage assembly including a pressure plate for engaging the rear of the napkin supply in the drawer has a pair of V-shaped slides affixed to opposite sides. The sides slidably engage the ribs to movably support the carriage assembly in the drawer. A pair of constant force springs are affixed to the cabinet and engage the rear of the pressure plate to urge the plate and carriage assembly forwardly of the drawer against the rear of the napkin supply to facilitate individual removal of the napkins through the cabinet opening.
