Abstract: A cooling assembly for cooling server racks includes a server rack enclosure sub-assembly that includes at least one panel member defining a volume for receiving one or more server racks having a front portion and a rear portion, at least one of the panel members is a rear panel member; at least one frame member defines an opening for receiving the rear portion of the server racks to form a hot space between the rear panel member and the combination of the frame member and the rear portion of the server racks; a cooling sub-assembly disposed in thermal communication with the hot space to cool at least one server supported in the server rack and including a chassis receiving at least one heat exchange member for exchanging heat between a refrigerant fluid flowing through the heat exchange member and fluid flowing through the hot space heated by the server.

Abstract: The invention concerns a cargo carrier comprising abase having a trough shape with an interior space for stowing goods to be transported therein and an openable and closable lid hingedly coupled with the base. The cargo carrier further comprises an add-on portion attached to at least one of the base and the lid, wherein the add-on portion enlarges the overall external volume of the cargo carrier. The invention further concerns a method for manufacturing such a cargo carrier.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for accessing luminaire mounting and/or electrical connection compartments and components are disclosed. Embodiments include a front reflective door pivotally attached to a luminaire housing with a closed position covering an opening to the mounting access compartment and an open position allowing easy user access to the mounting feature(s) in the mounting access compartment. In some embodiments the door forms an exterior surface of the lighting fixture, while in additional embodiments the luminaire's light source is mounted on the luminaire housing and not on the door. In still further embodiments the light source is located externally to the mounting access compartment so that the light source is outside the door when the door is closed. In yet further embodiments the free end of the door is adjacent the light source while the pivoting end of the door is located away from the light source.

Abstract: A cabinet drawer is configured to fully extend from within a cabinet case, tilting downward and outward when fully extended to allow personnel to access items located at the rear of the drawer. Mating channels and slots in the drawer and associated support structure allow for full movement of the drawer, while preventing its disengagement from the cabinet. The inclusion of a downward tiltable drawer provides easy access to the contents of the drawer, regardless of its height.

The method includes loading one of an individually sterilized item or a non-sterile item into the cart, the cart comprising a top portion, and a plurality of wheels fixedly coupled to a bottom portion of the cart able to freely rotate and support the cart. The method further includes loading a sterilizing cabinet onto the cart, the sterilizing cabinet being removeably affixed to the cart and comprising an interior, the interior containing collectively sterilized items, the interior being sterilizable and resealable.

Abstract: A life support system such as a heart-lung machine may include a plurality of medical devices a control panel and an excellent control position. The control panel may have separate control elements for operating the medical devices. The control panel may be constructed protruding essentially flat over a floor area of the majority of the medical devices. The control panel may be constructed to protrude in such a manner, that a control element, aligned only with a particular device and with the control position, is assigned to each device.

Abstract: Furniture, such as bookcases and dressers, are child-proofed against tipping forward by being mounted to a wall by a combination of a rail attached to the furniture, the rail having an angled undercut, and a cleat. The rail and cleat have corresponding angled cuts so that, when the furniture is properly installed, the rail rests on the cleat and the furniture is prevented from tipping or falling forward. The cleat should be attached to a structural member, such as a stud behind drywall. An additional safety device for furniture having drawers is a retainer that, in an engaged position, holds existing drawers in place, and prevents the full insertion of drawers, unless the furniture is installed on a firmly attached cleat. The cleat disengages the retainer during proper installation of the furniture on the cleat, whereby drawers can be fully inserted and removed as desired by the user.

Abstract: A platform system removably mountable within an interior compartment of a storage device having a back wall and side walls providing an interior storage compartment. Connecting passages are provided through the back wall and side walls to removably mount the platform system in the interior compartment. The platform system includes a platform and a plurality of connector members attached to the platform and removably connectable through the connecting passages; each connector member including a spring member as part of the construction. The spring members permit automatic downward and movement of said platform as a function of the weight of articles supported on the platform.

Abstract: A kitchen workspace and a method of organizing a kitchen workspace is set forth. The kitchen workspace is consolidated into a small footprint area with automated vertical storage shelves for storing and housing kitchen items and kitchen appliances. The automated storage shelves may be provided with electrical power for powering kitchen appliances found on the shelves. Kitchen appliances may be rotated around the automated storage shelves while the appliances are being used. A user of the kitchen workspace is able to stand in a fixed position and access all kitchen items and appliances without moving from the fixed standing position.

Abstract: A storage system including an alignment rail mounted to a wall and configured to engage with a first rail mounted on one or more storage members to align the storage members for attachment to a wall and to each other. The storage members may include a second rail and may be mounted to the wall through the first and second rails and attached to each other via fasteners extending through pre-formed apertures in sidewalls of the storage members.

Abstract: A computer system includes a desk, and a first display and a first keyboard arranged on a desk panel of the desk and flexibly connected to the desk panel. The panel board includes at least two layers; an edge of a top layer of the panel board is flexibly connected to a second layer of the panel board; a lower surface of the top layer of the panel board is used as a second display and an upper surface of a second layer of the panel board is used as a second keyboard; and the first display, the first key board, the second display, and the second keyboard are all connected to the computer. The computer system of the present disclosure effectively protects eye sights, reduces the probability of shortsightedness, greatly increases the amount of exercise, consumes unnecessary energy, reduces the storage of energy and production of fat, further results in loss of weight, and at the same time strengthens physical exercise and improves health states.

Abstract: An integrated aircraft galley structure includes a service module having a plurality of galley inserts including at least one oven and at least one refrigeration unit. The service module is formed with a plurality of bays sized to receive the plurality of galley inserts, along with a human machine interface for controlling all of the galley inserts. The service module further includes a plurality of galley insert modules for controlling each galley insert, and an insert power and control unit for each galley insert for controlling power to said insert. The entire system is controlled by a galley power and control unit for controlling each of the insert galley power and control units, and an AC distribution unit for distributing power to the insert power and control units.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing an electromechanical locker system may include providing a set of lockers with coin-operated locks. The coin-operated locks may be removed from the set of lockers. A conduit may be extended along and connected to a frame member from which the coin-operated locks had previously been positioned. Electromechanical lock units may be attached to the conduit so as to replace the coin-operated locks. A retrofitted coin-operated locker bank may include a coin-operated locker bank including a multiple lockers having respective doors, where the coin-operated locker bank is free of coin-operated locks. A conduit may be connected to a frame member and extend vertically adjacent to the hinged doors of a column of lockers. Multiple electromechanical lock units may be attached to the conduit so as to replace the coin-operated locks.

The first set of electrical equipment is capable of being electrically connected to the second set of electrical equipment.

Each of the two electronic device enclosures includes a top frame, a bottom frame, a plurality of supports and a maintaining pole. The plurality of supports connects the top frame and the bottom frame, the maintaining pole is secured between two of the plurality of supports, and the maintaining pole defines a securing slot. A mounting member includes two side plates opposite to each other, and a positioning member protrudes from each of the two side plates. The maintaining poles of the two electronic device enclosures are located between the two side plates, the positioning member is engaged in the securing slot, and the two electronic device enclosures are connected together by the mounting member.

Additional cabinets of equal or varying width may be added to an aisle containment installation.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a mobile rack for a library and an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) system for a library including the same, wherein the mobile rack includes a plurality of racks configured to keep books each attached with an RFID tag and mounted with an RFID reader for recognizing tag information stored in the RFID tag, a moving unit configured to move at least one of the plurality of racks, a server configured to manage the books that are inputted, outputted and stacked, and a controller configured to control the moving means in response to a user command through the server or the tag information and to adjust a discrete distance between racks.

Abstract: A control device for a mobile storage system includes a data entry device, such as a numeric keypad. The user enters an access code on the keypad, and the access code is compared against a data table including a list of security levels associated with access codes. If the access code entered is included in the data table, the user is permitted to control the mobile storage system according to the access rights granted by the security level associated with the access code. Each of the access codes and attempted commands entered in the numeric keypad are recorded in an activity log. The activity log is downloadable to a computer for later review.

Abstract: The present invention provides various embodiments for apparatuses and methods of manufacturing low profile housings for electronic and/or optoelectronic devices. Some embodiments provide low profile housings with a hollow casing comprising a first surface, second surface, and at least one lateral side surface. The housing is substantially light-diffusive. At least one cap is provided for sealing an end of the casing, with the at least one cap being sized to account for variations in the casing. At least one light emitting device, such as an LED, may be mounted within the casing. A mounting means may be included for mounting the housing. In another embodiment, a low profile housing with a first casing and second casing surrounding a majority of the first casing may be provided. At least one light emitting device, such as a double-sided printed circuit board with a plurality of LEDs, may be provided in the first casing. One or more end caps may be provided for sealing both the first and second casings.

The roller and guide system includes a longitudinally extending axial guide defining a first slot in a floor and a drive rail parallel thereto defining a second slot in the floor. The axial guide includes a roller arrangement adapted to engage a downwardly extending guide member coupled to the carriage of the storage units. The engagement of the roller arrangement and guide member serves as a guide for the storage units as the storage units are moved axially along the axial guide and drive rail. Further, the present invention limits the width of the first and second slots to a very narrow width, e.g. less than one half inch, thereby easily permitting disabled individuals to freely travel across a floor in which the roller and guide system is mounted.

Abstract: The present invention provides machines, methods and apparatus for automatically vending, damping, delivering and returning large heavy product containers such as 5-gallon water bottles. In some embodiments, damping methods and apparatus are provided to gently transfer large heavy product containers from one level to another inside a vending machine. In some embodiments, methods and apparatus including adjustable support rails are provided for handling different sized large heavy product containers inside a vending machine. In some embodiments, delivery methods and apparatus are provided for use with large heavy product containers. In some embodiments, methods and apparatus for returning large product containers are provided. Some or all of these features may be provided in a single vending machine, or in multiple machines, and multiple features or machines may be controlled by a single computer processor.
