    Abstract: The invention is an outdoor storage compartment. The major components are a housing having an interior with an open-side, a center swinging door with an integral tray, and a magnetic closure. The door can nominally be opened by pressing a designated push point near an end of the door, therein causing the door, which has a center elongate bearing, to hingedly rotate on an axial pin that is vertically spanning the open-side of the housing. The door can smoothly and easily be opened with the pressure of only one finger. The magnets in the magnetic closure are not in contact. When opened, the integral tray is conveyed from the protective interior of the housing to an easily visible position on the exterior of the housing. As the door is fully opened it sweeps through a rotational arc of about 180 degrees, so that an interior face of the door pivots to the exterior of the housing.

An enclosure mounts to the vehicle and supports the device. A bezel frame seals the enclosure to a surface of the vehicle and a rotatable window protects the device faceplate and operating controls. The window is manually rotated and latched into a closed configuration. Seals on the bezel frame bear against a front surface of the window and seals on the rear surface of the window bear against an interior surface of the bezel frame. When manually unlatched, the window rotates to its open configuration.

One of the shelves holds the monitor and is adjustable to align the monitor with a touch screen panel that is sealed in a window in the front panel. The shelves provide easy access to the computer components for service. A pivoting keyboard tray on the front panel holds a keyboard and mouse, and is fully sealed. The OIT is easily disassembled and packaged into a compact size for shipping.

    Abstract: A cabinet for storing a fire extinguisher in a residence, which cabinet is aesthetically compatible with typical residential decor. The cabinet has a sheet metal back box and an outwardly projecting flange bearing holes for receiving a wall anchor for securement to dry wall material. The open interior of the back box is dimensioned and configured to receive and store a fire extinguisher. A decorative door covers the interior of the back box and the fire extinguishers. In alternative embodiments, the door may be finished wood or finished metal. The door has hinges disposed to maintain the door in a fully open position and to urge the door closed if it is not in the fully open position. An alarm powered by a battery activates an audible or visible alarm when the fire extinguisher is removed.
