Abstract: A sliding lock mechanism that utilizes a binding bar to prevent movement of a sliding member on a slide rail in at least one direction. A spring mechanism exerts a biasing force on the binding bar to maintain the locked position. The binding bar can be moved to an unlocking position by overcoming the bias of the spring. This then allows movement of the sliding member in two directions on the slide rail. An actuating rod moves the binding bar between the first and second positions. The mechanism can be added to a stowing mechanism for a laptop or other device that can secure different devices with varying widths within a compartment due to a drive spring mechanism. The addition of the locking mechanism allows for greater security of the laptop during periods of vibration and prevents backdriving of the spring mechanism.

Abstract: A storage box comprises a housing with open ends and a tray that slides out either open end and up to at least fifty percent or up to at least sixty percent of the length of the tray may slide out either open end. Latch members operable from either open end of the housing selectively hold the tray in a centered position and can be released to allow the tray to slide out a selected end of the housing. The door continues to engage and extend the stabilizer until the stabilizer is fully extended. Once the stabilizer is fully extended, the door disengages the stabilizer if the door continues to be opened. When closed, the door returns to automatically re-engage and retract the stabilizer. If the stabilizer has been partially retracted during the interval in which the door has been open, the door will still re-engage and retract the stabilizer.

The mouse tray is pivotally coupled to the mounting bracket and includes a gear engageable with the rack. The mouse tray also includes a shoulder adjacent the gear.

Abstract: A kitchen trash container system wherein a trash container is covered when it is within a kitchen sink cabinet enclosure and wherein the cover automatically opens when the trash container is caused to move outwardly from the cabinet. A latch type member is positioned at the lower portion of the housing, activation of the latch member by a user causing the trash container to move outwardly from the cabinet along a rail member, the cover portion opening during movement of the trash container. When the trash container reaches its outward extent, the cover is in the full open position and enables trash to be deposited in the container. Thereafter, the user pushes the trash container preferably with a knee back into position within the cabinet, the cover automatically closing on top of the trash container.

The tray is selectively moveable by sliding between fully opened and fully closed positions. A retractable door is mounted to the cabinet enclosure. A spring loaded linkage connects the retractable door to the tray. When the tray is opened, the door retracts, by operation of the linkage, into the cabinet enclosure exposing the tray and its contents. When the tray is closed, the door is closed by operation of the linkage thereby sealing the contents in the tray within the cabinet enclosure.

Abstract: This invention is directed to a drawer system including a roll-up device comprising a core cylinder and a sheet to cover the upper open surface of a drawer in which the sheet is rolled up onto the core cylinder by elasticity. The sheet roll-up device is placed above the entrance of the drawer and the end of the sheet is secured to the top back side of the drawer so that the sheet can be drawn out from the sheet roll-up device against the elasticity to cover the open surface of the drawer and the articles therein when the drawer is pushed inside of the entrance, when the drawer is moved outwardly the sheet is rolled onto the roll-up device by the elasticity. Rollers may be placed on the ends of the core cylinder which rotate to feed the sheet out or to feed the sheet onto the drawer as the drawer is moved in and out.

Abstract: A door-operating apparatus for an analyzer, comprising first and second rails provided on an analyzer body, a movable member provided on said first rail, a slider fixed to said movable member, a sample table and an angle piece provided on said slider, a window frame provided movably on said second rail, a holding member attached to said window frame, and a pivotable link of which ends are supported on said holding member and said angle piece respectively, said slider being moved along said first rail so that said sample table is controlled from the outside.
