An arcuately-swingable, pedestal-mounted top is supported above, overlies and is spaced upwardly of the top surface of the cabinet. In a second position, the top is pivotally displaced about a fixed vertical axis to extend outwardly in a horizontal plane and normally of a principal horizontal axis of the cabinet to expose the top work surface of the cabinet and to form, with the cabinet, an L-shaped work station. Abstract: A keyboard support having an adjustable keyboard shelf is provided. The keyboard support includes a base having a pair of upper and lower horizontal slots. A pair of bars connect the keyboard shelf to the slots. Inner ends of the bars slide within the slots to allow the shelf to be withdrawn from, or retracted into, the base. One of the slots includes an angled end portion allowing the bars to pivot with respect to the slots. As a consequence of the pivot action, the keyboard shelf is selectively raised or lowered. A rack and pinion mechanism is provided within the slots to limit jamming of the shelf as it is withdrawn from, or retracted into, the base. The invention provides a sturdy adjustable keyboard support inexpensively constructed of few moving parts.

Abstract: A combination toy chest and table has a top lid which serves as a desk top, and which is pivoted at one end to be movable between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, the toy chest serves its normal function with the lid covering the toy chest. In its open position, the lid is displaced approximately 90.degree. from the toy chest and is supported by preferably two legs to give it stability in this position. A person such as a child need only to place a chair next to the table for use at this point. A spring loaded locking mechanism is employed for locking the top in its closed position. In a further embodiment, the top lid for the toy chest extends beyond the width of the toy chest, so that it could also be used as a desk when the toy chest is in its closed position.

A work table is hinged at one end to the top of the swivel panel and can be moved between a folded position when parallel to the swivel panel and in an erected position when in a position perpendicular to the swivel panel. When in erected position, the work table may be swiveled between straight positions in line with the cabinet top to an L position when perpendicular to the cabinet top or alternately folded away in a compact position.

Abstract: A computer work station for use with a computer system includes two sections, a front section and a rear section, pivotably connected about an exterior pivot axis. The rear section includes shelves for supporting some components of the computer system, such as the CPU, display monitor, keyboard and modem. A keyboard shelf is slidably disposed within the rear section, while other shelves are fixedly mounted therewithin. A common power strip is disposed between two of the shelves of the rear section for providing a single connection of at least some of the components of the computer system to an exterior power source. The front section includes a front panel which extends substantially the entire height of the computer work station, and includes a cork strip for posting memoranda and the like thereon. The front section further includes shelves for supporting other components of the computer system, such as a printer and its associated box of paper.

A multi-use coupling is formed adjacent one edge of the table panel for securing the table panel to the undersurface of the box cover and for coupling the top of a support leg to the table panel for weight bearing table use. Flexible loop handles are provided on the end of the box with quick disconnect couplings such as snap hooks for securing the handle loops over a thwart or other strut of a canoe during canoe travel. The box cover latch is also designed for quick release using a flexible thong for rapid access to the box during canoe travel.

A table has a lock secured to an undersurface thereof, such block supporting at least one pin extending outwardly and disposed having its axis parallel to the axis of the rod. Spring means are provided for engaging the pin within the pin-receiving receptacle, such that the table is disposed in any plane desired.
