A link is interconnected between the upper and lower door member arms, for providing synchronous movement of the upper and lower door members between their open and closed positions.

Abstract: A door structure includes a door frame having edge portions of which at least some are curved. The door structure further includes a flexible door panel which is pivotable between an open configuration and a closed configuration. The door panel is resiliently deformable from a substantially flat configuration to a curved configuration which corresponds to the curvature of the curved edge portions of the door frame. In the closed configuration the door panel is adapted to adopt the curved configuration and in the open position, the door panel is freely straightenable to the substantially flat configuration. The door structure may be embodied in a storage structure which includes a framework defining an interior including a storage space and an opening to the storage space. The door panel may be hingedly connected to an auxiliary portion which is slidably mounted substantially within the interior of the framework.

  • Patent number: 6382749
Abstract: A wall-mounted cabinet that is especially adapted for use as a security cabinet in a security system includes the cabinet and the equipment secured by the cabinet in such a manner that the system does not rely on surveillance by security personnel. The cabinet includes a housing with a back support panel securely fastened to a wall of the building that is being monitored. The panel fits around cables used to power or otherwise electrically service the equipment. The housing also has top, bottom and side panels projecting outwardly from the back panel, and shelves are located within the housing defining an upper and lower compartments. Upper and lower doors are mounted on the housing for movement between open and closed positions over the compartments, and locks on the doors secure the doors in their closed positions. Fasteners join the panels of the housing together so that access from the exterior of the cabinet when locked is prevented short of destroying the cabinet.

  • Patent number: 6318824
Abstract: A cabinet includes a hinged tracking system for attaching a door to the cabinet. The hinged tracking system allows the door to translate rectilinearly away from the cabinet, as well as rotate with respect to the cabinet. The hinged tracking system includes a track member attached to a side wall of the cabinet, and a slide member slidable with respect to the track member. An intermediate member may be disposed between the track member and the slide member to increase the linear travel of the slide member. A hinge is located between the slide member and the door. The track member and the slide member may include stoppers which prevent overtravel of the slide member with respect to the track member, so that the slide member does not inadvertently slide completely off of the track member. The slide member may also include a locking system for locking the slide member in a maximum extended position, and for locking the hinge in a closed position or an open position.
