The dishwasher includes: a washing tub; and a rack assembly provided inside the washing tub, wherein the rack assembly includes: a frame; a tray on which dishes are accommodated and which is movably supported on the frame; and a link unit connecting the frame to the tray and moving the tray to one of a first location and a second location that is lower than the first location, the link unit being rotatably coupled with the frame and the tray.

Abstract: A protective case for a mobile device such as a tablet computer is disclosed that includes modular components that can be mixed and matched by the user at the point of purchase to facilitate creation of a user customizable look. The case includes a shell that is configured to retain the tablet device and a front cover that is configured to protect and conceal the screen of the tablet when the case is in the closed position. When the assembled case is in the open position and the tablet is retained within the shell, the cover is configured to stand the shell up on edge. The shell and front cover can be reversibly attached to one another by the user, so that the user can select a shell of one color, material, design, or style and a front cover of another color, material, design or style. Retention tab and slot are employed to reversibly lock the front cover to the shell to form a seamless integrated multi use mode case.

Abstract: A housing-free hatrack for a passenger cabin of an aircraft includes a hatrack body, at least one fixing brace and a support which is arranged between the hatrack body and one end of the fixing brace in such a way that the hatrack body is pivotable about a pivot axis. The other end of the fixing brace may be connected to a frame of an aircraft structure of the aircraft. This hatrack dispenses with the double-walled construction of conventional hatracks and the hatrack is therefore directly fixed to the structure of the aircraft.

Abstract: A device, system, and associated methods for appliance lifts are disclosed. The appliance lift sits on the bottom of a cabinet, rolls forward and rotates forward and up using four rotating bars and a gear with spring and damper linking them together. This system consists of a platform dimensioned of a size and shape to support most kitchen counter-top appliances or any other like sized items. The platform is supported by a series of linkages housed in a frame. The frame is then on a moveable track. The entire structure is sized to fit inside the lower section of a standard kitchen cabinet.

Abstract: A method and mechanism for moving an element, such as a sliding door (1), is disclosed. In the movement a first end of the element is first turned outwards, a second opposite end is then turned out placing the element in parallel with the original location of the element. The element is then displaced by extending a pull-out guide (4). The mechanism comprises a housing (2), the pull-out guide rail (4), a lock-and-release mechanism (19) and at least two lever arms (8, 11, 14, 16, 27, 30, 33, 39, 42). One end of a first lever arm (8, 27, 39) is received in a pivoting point (10, 29, 41) at the pull-out guide rail (4) and the opposite end of said lever arm (8, 27, 39) is received in a pivoting point (9, 28, 40) at the housing (2). The pivoting point (10, 29, 41) at the pull-out guide rail (4) is placed at a first end of the pull-out guide rail (4).

Abstract: An apparatus has a first housing and a second housing. By one approach at least the second housing has at least one exterior edge configured as a pivot surface. The first housing includes at least a first magnet and the second housing includes at least a second magnet that is disposed proximal to the aforementioned pivot surface. So configured, the first and second magnet interact with one another and thereby serve as a magnetic connector such that the first housing pivots with respect to the second housing about the pivot surface. Abstract: A pivoting device especially useful in aircraft passenger cabins that can pivot a monitor between stowed and open positions, the pivoting device including a forward/reverse rotatable driving motor. An electromagnetic brake holds the monitor in stowed and opened positions A power unit powers the motor and the electromagnetic brake. A controller controls the pivoting movement of the monitor. The power unit includes a rectifier circuit that transforms AC to a DC, a step-up circuit that steps up the transformed voltage, a voltage regulator that adjusts the transformed voltage to a prescribed DC voltage, and a retraction power retention circuit including a capacitor. When no source voltage is detected while the monitor is in its opened state, the capacitor supplies the power to a voltage regulator of the power circuit, deactivates the electromagnetic brake and reverse rotates the motor to drive the monitor to its stowed position.

Abstract: A folding tablet keyboard case comprising a tablet cover having exterior and interior sides with circumferential edges, a keyboard cover having exterior and interior sides cover with circumferential edges and, and a spine including at least one or more folding hinges, where the spine connects the tablet cover and the keyboard cover and wherein a portion of the spine comprises a portion of the keyboard cover. The tablet keyboard case provides for at least four general configurations that provide for a streamlined form factor in the open tablet position, closed tablet position, open keyboard position and tilted tablet position. The tablet keyboard case uses reusable fasteners to detachably secure the tablet keyboard case in the desired configuration.

An energy storing member in the fixed shaft is configured to store energy during the forward axial movement of the axial moving member and to release energy for driving the axial moving member to make a reverse axial movement. During the reverse axial movement the axial moving member pushes the radial moving member to make an outward radial movement. The radial moving member during such outward radial movement drives the second body to pivot forward.

Abstract: In one example, we describe a case (otherwise known as a sleeve, holder, portfolio, jacket, or shell) for an electronic device, such as a tablet computer. This case allows the user to protect and personalize their tablet computer. This case has the unique property of allowing the user to position the device for viewing in either portrait or landscape mode. This is an increasing useful function as media (such as videos) are engaging the users for longer periods of time. This case does not require the user to hold the device in the desired orientation. In another example, we describe a distinct hinge, with a stop that limits its rotational travel allowing the user to prop the tablet computer up, at a viewing angle. In another alternative, this friction hinge can have an angular zone of travel, where little or no friction is encountered.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for coupling to a wall in a healthcare facility, such as a hospital. The apparatus comprises a housing configured to support at least one service outlet, a cover and a linkage for mounting the cover to the housing for pivoting movement between a closed position in which the cover blocks access to the at least one service outlet and an open position in which the cover allows access to the at least one service outlet. The cover remains substantially parallel to the wall as it travels between the closed and open positions. The cover may comprise a wall accessory, such as a picture frame.

Abstract: A pullout storage structure for a bathroom cabinet, such as a vanity or medicine cabinet, has a hinge linkage for moving a storage unit between an opened and a closed position such that the storage unit travels an arcuate path and maintains its orientation. Smooth and easy movement of the pullout storage structure is facilitated by an over-center assist member. The assist member tends to close, and keep closed, as well as open, and keep open, the pullout structure.

Abstract: A cabinet has a body having an open side and two doors each comprised by an outer panel and an inner panel. The panels are pivotal between a closed position in which they are all generally coplanar and cover the open side with the inner panels between the outer panels and an open position giving access to the open side. A respective actuating mechanism for each door has an actuating element defining first, second, and third pivot points and pivoted on the body at the respective first pivot point and a pusher pivoted on the respective second pivot point and having a pair of arms with outer ends connected to the respective doors. A rigid connector extends between the third pivot points at all times across a line extending between the first pivot points.

The recessed wall drawer may be installed in new construction or in preexisting walls simply by cutting out a section of drywall (11) between two studs at a desired locations securing the housing to the two studs with fasteners (12), such as screws, and inserting a drawer (5) into the housing. Each of the pair of arms is engaged with slots in a guide plate fixed at one side of the shelf or basket, whereby the basket is driven linearly, by the arms, between a retracted position inside the cabinet to a frontal position, while the arms traverse the slots, and then the arms lift the basket in an arc to an extended and raised convenient height. Such movement is facilitated by a motor driven linear actuator or by pulleys rotated by drive cords or belts.

The door is rotatably coupled to a front end of the frame, thus allowing the door to rotate through a predetermined angle with respect to the frame. An amount of rotation of the door with respect to the frame may be selectively limited to utilize a tilting function of the door and to provide access to goods in the storage space.

Abstract: Disclosed is a refrigerator having a basket lift apparatus capable of improving convenience for a user by lifting up a basket when the basket disposed at a lower portion of a body is opened. The refrigerator comprises: a refrigerator body having cooling chambers for storing food items; a frame slidingly received in a cooling chamber disposed at a lower portion of the body; a basket put on the frame and storing food items; a door positioned at the front of the frame and hingedly connected to the frame; a first link, one side of the first link being rotatably connected to the basket or the frame and the other side being slidably coupled with the frame or the basket; a second link disposed across the first link, one side of the second link being rotatably connected to the basket or the frame and the other side being slidably coupled with the frame or the basket; and a link drive unit connected to the first link or the second link and driving the link to allow the basket to ascend with respect to the frame.

Abstract: A storage system includes a mounting structure having one or more mounting pivot devices positioned thereon. The storage system also includes one or more frames defining a first edge and a second edge with frame pivot devices positioned coaxially therebetween. At least one of the frames has one or more storage receptacles disposed thereon. Each of the mounting pivot devices engages respective frame pivot devices such that the frames are movably positioned on the mounting structure. According to another aspect of the present invention, the storage system includes one or more delimiter wheels having an engagement surface located thereon. The delimiter wheels are rotatably positioned on the first and/or the second edges of a frame. The engagement surfaces of adjacent delimiter wheels movably and adjustably engage one another and space the frames apart from one another.
