  • Patent number: 7187547
Abstract: A data storage subsystem is configured to mount within a rack mount cabinet. The data storage subsystem includes a housing configured to mount to a set of vertical rails of the rack mount cabinet, a set of circuit boards configured to install in a vertically aligned manner within the housing to define a set of vertically oriented channels within a central space defined by the set of vertical rails of the rack mount cabinet, and a fan assembly configured to mount to the set of vertical rails in a position above the housing to generate a vertical air stream through the set of vertically oriented channels and to exhaust the vertical air stream to an external location above the rack mount cabinet. The vertical air stream enables robust heat removal from the set of circuit boards even if the rack mount cabinet does not reside in a cold-isle environment.

  • Patent number: 6752479
Abstract: The invention relates to an object storage station having a front area for loading the objects, a back, and two sidewalls arranged on opposite sides, and having object holding rails with support surfaces that are arranged in pairs on opposite sides and extend substantially horizontally along the sidewalls in the interior of the object storage station. The invention is characterized in that the sidewalls have a plurality of identical, horizontally extending openings, which are arranged one above the other in the two sidewalls in identical number and position and always spaced at an identical distance from adjacent openings. The number of the openings in each sidewall corresponds to the number of the object holding rails of the sidewall and each of the openings has the same distance from the respectively closest object holding rail. The invention furthermore relates to a detachable mounting of the holding rails.

The battery trays extend through an open front end of a housing be sealed by a removable door. The weight load exerted by the retrofit battery cabinet is supported by the concrete or other pad providing ultimate support to the entire configured assembly, and not by the associated telecommunications equipment cabinet. Outriggers, mounting brackets, and nesting of the housing beneath the telecommunications cabinet serve to secure the retrofit battery cabinet in place, ensuring the electrical connection between the batteries and the telecommunications equipment without direct attachment of the retrofit battery cabinet to the telecommunications cabinet support columns.

Abstract: A collapsible compact disc holder comprises a housing with a lower wall, an upper wall, a pair of opposing side walls, and a pair of opposing open ends. Each of the upper and lower walls has a pair of opposing side edges. Each of the side edges of the upper wall is hingedly connected to a different one of the side walls and each of the side edges of the lower wall is hingedly connected to a different one of the side walls. The housing is adapted to be moved between an upright rectangular configuration, wherein each of the side walls of the housing extends perpendicularly from corresponding side edges of the upper and lower walls, to a collapsed configuration, wherein the upper wall extends from one of the side walls along the same plane and the lower wall extends from the other of the side walls along the same plane. First and second curved support members are provided. Each of the curved support members is insertable into one of the ends of the housing when the same is in the upright configuration.

Abstract: A vertical support for supporting a drawer slide mechanism in a cabinet. The vertical support includes a support member that has an opening and a resilient tab member that extends into the opening. The resilient tab member releasably engages the slide mechanism as it is disposed in the opening. Alternatively, a resilient tab member is attached to the slide mechanism and is adapted to releasably engage an opening in the front vertical support member. A method is also provided for assembling a drawer support assembly in a cabinet. The method comprises the steps of providing a cabinet housing, a slide mechanism that has a forward and rear portion, and a front vertical support member that has an opening and a resilient tab member extending into the opening. The front vertical support is attached to the housing and the forward portion of the slide mechanism is secured to the front vertical support member such that the resilient tab member releasably engages the forward portion.
