Abstract: A galley cart carbonated beer dispensing system employs a housing defining a cavity. A door is coupled to the housing and configured to be moved between a closed position and an open position. A keg is received in the cavity and a carbonation cylinder is received in the cavity and connected to the keg. A spigot is supported on a dispensing tower extending from a top of the housing and connected to the keg. The dispensing tower is retractable into the cavity.

Abstract: Described are a system and method for monitoring pre-prepared meals which can be assembled as a plurality of portions. Assembled pre-prepared meals can be monitored starting from their assembly up to the ultimate consumption. Pre-prepared meals are arranged on tray-like containers and a data carrier is fastened which contains meal-specific data. These meal-specific data can be read out at at least two reading stations to be able to keep a record of the conditions of manufacture, storage and/or cooling.

Abstract: Microwave-refrigerator units are disclosed. In one aspect, a microwave-refrigerator unit may include a weatherproof exterior. A microwave may be included within the weatherproof exterior. A refrigerator may also be included within the weatherproof exterior. The refrigerator may be coupled with the microwave. Other microwave-refrigerator units are also disclosed, as are methods of using microwave-refrigerator units.

Abstract: A space efficient multi-function kitchen appliance including a number of compartments. The compartments are vertically superimposed with respect to each other and can include serving tray, a cooking compartment, a storage compartment, and a refrigeration compartment. If desired, each compartment can be slidably coupled to a frame to function as discrete drawers. The cooking drawer can include a control switch that is pivotally movable between a horizontal position and a raised position so that the closing of the cooking drawer automatically turns off the cooking device. The storage drawer can be located between the cooking drawer and the refrigeration drawer to buffer the changes in temperature between the refrigeration compartment and the cooking compartment. The refrigeration drawer and the storage drawer can each be complementary stepped to have different heights on their left and right sides to maximize storage functionality.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a handle mounting device for use in a refrigerator for mounting a refrigerator door handle onto an outer surface of a door of the refrigerator. The handle mounting device of the present invention is used to mount a handle 50 for opening and closing the door onto an outer surface 40 of the door. The handle mounting device includes a mounting ring member 70 into which one end of handle 50 is fitted and of which a surface is plated, and a handle base 60 which is made of synthetic resin material and of which one end is fitted into the mounting ring member 70 and the other end is fixed onto the outer surface 40 of the door. Further, one end of the handle base 60 is fitted into the handle 50 fitted into the mounting ring member 70.

A refrigerator includes a refrigerator storage chamber, and a door for opening and closing the refrigerator storage chamber, and the door includes a steel sheet constituting a door main body, a door glass positioned in front of the steel sheet, and a crystal positioned between the steel sheet and the door glass. In addition, a refrigerator having a storage chamber for storing food, and a door for opening and closing the storage chamber includes a steel sheet forming a basic structure of the door, a door glass formed in front of the steel sheet, a guide plate positioned between the door glass and the steel sheet, and attached to a rear surface of the door glass, and a crystal inserted into the guide plate.

Abstract: A fluid warming cassette with a stiffening frame structure and an integral handle is provided to support a parenteral fluid container. The fluid container is desirably thin to minimize heat exchange inefficiencies. The frame structure permits the thin fluid container to be inserted into the narrow space between fixed position warming plates of a warming unit. The frame structure has a quadrilateral shape with sides and ends. The fluid container is attached, at its periphery to the sides and ends of the frame structure, within the quadrilateral shape. Part of the frame structure is formed into a handle to assist in both the insertion and removal of the cassette from a warming unit.

Abstract: A mobile device for the preservation and reheating with movable thermal barriers and constant level distribution of hot and cold meal-trays. The device includes a housing having a mobile distributing column of meal-trays having a mobile articulated thermal barrier which supports the trays and lifts them up to a distribution door while separating the cold area from the hot area by effecting a rotation by means of a roller chain driven by pulleys actuated by a pedal crank gear mechanism. The device provides for the distribution of meal-trays at a constant level while providing for the reheating and preservation of hot and cold food dishes placed on the same meal-tray waiting to be distributed.

Abstract: An improved thermal curtain for separating a food service cart into hot and cold regions is disclosed. The thermal curtain is composed of composite foam structural elements which have enhanced insulating capability, toughness and the ability to provide structural support for food service trays placed thereon. The thermal curtain is composed of a plurality of vertically superposed tray support/thermal barrier sections which attach to a support bracket which further attaches to the back of the food service cart. The upper portion of the support/barrier is adapted to provide a tray support and conforms to the design of the food service tray to minimize migration of heated or cold air to the opposite compartment. The lower edge of the support/barrier section is composed of a blade seal floating in a retention channel which allows vertical movement of the seal.
