Abstract: A storage device for needles having: a tubular housing, a first cylindrical tube is retained in said tubular housing; first and second cylindrical tubes; the second tube is adapted to reciprocate within the first cylindrical tube; a third cylindrical tube is adapted fit over the first cylindrical tube; a mounting retainer is adapted to engage said tubular housing, the mounting retainer has a tubular protrusion extending therefrom, the tubular protrusion has a cylindrical bearing surface, the cylindrical bearing surface rotatably retains said third cylinder with a portion of said third cylinder protruding through said mounting retainer, a deformable needle mounting element is disposed with the second cylindrical tube, the deformable needle mounting element is adapted both to retain needles and allow withdrawal of needles therefrom, the second cylindrical tube is advanceable and retractable in the rotatable third cylindrical tube by turning of the third tube about its longitudinal axis.

Abstract: A device for preserving a predetermined dose of liquid-based substance, notably animal semen or a preservation medium containing embryos or tissue samples, comprises a tube (11) made of a weldable plastics material. The tube allows a service state in which a receiving portion (21) intended to contain the said predetermined dose has a circular cross-section whereas a sealing portion (22) comprises a welded pinch (19) and a transition zone (23). Over at least part of the sealing portion a differentiating edge region (28) gives the external surface of the tube a visual appearance different from the visual appearance of the external surface of the tube outside of the differentiating edge region. A range comprises such a device and a similar device but without the differentiating edge region.

Abstract: A portable cooler apparatus that is used to cool liquids and perishable food items simultaneously while not contaminating the liquid is disclosed. The portable cooler apparatus includes a container, a lid, a telescoping member, and a tray. These items are coupled in such a way that the desired result of refrigeration and non-contaminated drinking liquid is simultaneously provided.

Abstract: A display device for displaying and dispensing tubular items of merchandise includes a first side and a substantially parallel second side spaced apart by a distance. A base forming a bottom portion and a cover forming a top portion of the display device are disposed between the first and second side. A first ramp having a first width is disposed between the first and second side and slopes downwardly toward a rear portion of the display device. A second ramp having a second width is disposed between the first and second side. At least a portion of the second ramp is disposed under the first ramp and slopes downwardly toward a front portion of the display device. The first width and second width are less than the distance between the first side and second side for facilitating a movement of the tubular items of merchandise in the display device.

Abstract: A lead dispensing storage container that can be opened or closed by a single hand. The container body has a lead case formed therein, and a lead outlet allowing release of leads one by one. A gate member mounted in the container body can be moved to open or close lead paths between the lead case and lead outlet. An elastic arm portion forces the gate member to move in direction to close the lead paths. The number of parts is reduced, and supplying leads can be made easier by a case that has a lead supply opening projecting from the tip thereof. A leading end of the case has an inclined slope toward the lead supply opening therein, and a chuck containing leads having a knocking portion that is pressed into the case so that it can be opened by the knocking portion being pushed to press an opening actuator toward the inclined slope or is closed by an elastic force as the opening actuator is released.

Abstract: Embodiments of a crayon organizer are disclosed which may be used to store, organize, and dispense crayons, chalks, or similar articles. The crayon organizer has a cylindrical cover with an open slot through which one crayon, chalk, or similar article may be removed at a time from the organizer. The crayons, chalks, or similar articles are placed inside vertical holes in a base which fits inside the cover. The crayon organizer has a lock out mechanism which prevents another crayon, chalk, or similar item from being withdrawn from the organizer until the first one removed is returned.

Abstract: A storage system for cutting tool collets comprises a cylindrical drum with a plurality of bored recesses on the front face. These recesses serve to hold individual collets. A pair of cut slots serve to allow easy access to the collets. The drum is mounted upon an elongated version of the normal pivot pin of a milling machine. A rotating cover provides for individual access to the collets and keeps away foreign debris.

Abstract: A display case for storing and displaying a plurality of items of overall general elongated rolled and cylindrical configuration has a housing for accommodating a plurality of the items with their axes parallel to each other. The housing has a front, a back spaced from and parallel to the front, a pair of spaced parallel sides perpendicular to and joining the front and back, a top and a bottom spaced from and parallel to the top and perpendicular to the front, back and sides. An incline is formed in the housing on the bottom and back thereof and descends from the back to the front. A bottom opening is formed in front for accommodating the passage therethrough of one of the items at a time.

Abstract: A toothpick dispenser with an elevated base having opposite end mount pedestals that rest on a supporting surface with the elevated base mounting a toothpick box that is slideable back and forth between opposite end limited positions. One position is established by limit position contact of the box with one of the pedestals and a lock device mounted in the elevated base at the mount pedestal at the other end is movable into an end limit blocking position for the box when the elevated base is put down on a supporting surface. There are two toothpick dispensing grooves in the upper surface of the elevated base, one for each of the opposite end positions of the toothpick holding box with the back edge of each groove being rounded to prevent jamming up of the dispenser box by either square centered toothpicks or round centered toothpicks whichever is being dispensed.

Abstract: A container assembly for containing a commodity in a cylindrical primary container, and further including a cylindrical base and dispenser subassembly for receiving the cylindrical container, and for dispensing elongated, thin articles. The base and dispenser subassembly includes an upwardly extending peripheral flange, a downwardly extending peripheral flange and a transverse partition therebetween carrying the flanges. Parallel chordal partitions extend across, and substantially normal to, the transverse partition, and define a multiple article storage compartment. A dispenser closure cap includes an end plate which extends across the top of the article storage compartment. The end plate carries an annular outer flange which rotatably engages the downwardly extending peripheral flange. A mirror is affixed to the exterior of the end plate. In another form, the primary container may simply be formed as an integral part of the base and dispenser subassembly.

Abstract: A dispenser for drinking straws is disclosed. The dispenser is a container which includes a front panel and an inclined bottom panel so that the straws within roll toward the front and pass through an elongated aperture. The leading straw rests against a rib projecting upward from the end of the bottom panel and blocks the aperture to retain the remaining straws within the container. Also included are a closure panel, hinged to a back panel, which allows access to the inside of the container, and side walls, which extend below the container to form supporting legs. A central opening enables one to grasp a straw by its central portion. The container is formed by the injection moulding of a plastic material in a single, substantially flat, unfolded sheet with a number of fold lines. Assembly is carried out by folding the sheet along the fold lines with the ends of the front panel positively engaging with the side walls.

Abstract: A machine for the insertion of elongated cylindrical objects into a rapidly moving stream of envelopes at a rate of delivery equal to that of the basic machine. The invention comprises a supply hopper for the objects, a trough to feed the objects to a delivery station and a horizontally reciprocating assembly which takes one object at a time from the trough and feeds it into an open envelope. This assembly is operated by the basic machine and so feeds the objects at whatever rate the basic machine is moving the open envelopes past the insertion stations.

Abstract: A probe cover holding and dispensing arrangement for an electronic thermometer includes a chamber in the thermometer housing to receive a carton containing the probe covers. A tear-away flap on the carton exposes some of the covers. An aperture in the chamber, closable by a sliding cover, provides access to the exposed covers.

Abstract: The tackle box has upper and lower trays surrounded by a wall defining a space in which lures can be suspended from the underside of the upper tray. A handle operates a vertical shaft slideable with respect to the lower tray to lift the upper tray and bring the lures far enough above the upper edge of the wall to expose the lures and provide access to the lower tray.

Abstract: A hollow housing is provided including a top wall having a plurality of horizontally spaced openings formed therein and each of the openings has a depending cylindrical wall structure operatively associated therewith and supported from the top wall. The lower ends of the cylindrical wall structures include diametric slots formed therein and perm rod support and elevator structure in the form of a grid structure is mounted within the housing with various grid bars thereof extending through and vertically shiftable in the cylindrical wall structure diametric slots. The grid bars form vertically shiftable floor portions for the cavities defined by the top wall openings and the cylindrical wall structures dependingly supported from the top wall. Vertically disposed perm rods are downwardly receivable within the aforementioned cavities and have their lower ends abutted against and supported from the grid bars.

Abstract: An adjustable, self-leveling dispenser for stacked plates or platters has a pressure head within a plate well or tank and a plurality of tension springs peripherally arranged about the outer periphery of the tank and connected between first arcuate support members movable along the outside of the tank and second arcuate support members fixed with respect to the tank, the first arcuate support members being secured to radial support members projecting through longitudinally-extending slots in the tank for yieldingly supporting the pressure head from underneath. A plurality of guide rod members vertically disposed in spaced relation within the tank and stepwisely adjustable along a range of distances outwardly of the center of the pressure head serve as abutment slide means for guiding peripheral edge portions of any selected size of a wide range of sizes of stacked plates to be dispensed.

Abstract: Various devices are provided for use by a cosmetologist when giving permanent wave treatments, or the like, to customers, and a method of efficiently practicing cosmetology. End-wrap papers are stacked in a self-feeding manner in a dispenser container, and the container is inserted into a holder mounted on a wristband on the cosmetologist's wrist. A supporting structure having a plurality of trays containing hair rollers therein, and supporting a plurality of dispensers for hair-styling rods, is placed adjacent the customer. The end-wrap papers may be removed one-at-a-time from the wrist holder, and the rods and hair rollers may be removed one at a time from the dispensers associated with the supporting structure, without customer assistance, and in an efficient manner.

Abstract: An arrangement for holding cigarettes has a lower part with an inner hollow and an open end, and an upper part provided with a holding member for holding a plurality of cigarettes. The upper part is movable relative to the lower part between a closed position in which the upper part closes the open end of the lower part and the cigarettes are accommodated in the latter, and an open position in which the upper part is retracted from the lower part and the cigarettes are located outside the latter so as to be exposed.

Abstract: A vertical cylindrically shaped container has a top surface defining a flat horizontal spiral which has an inner and substantially coincident with the longitudinal axis of said container and has an outer end at the outer periphery of said surface. The spiral has a plurality of spaced holes disposed along the path defined by the spiral, whereby a separate drill bit can be removably disposed in a corresponding hole and extends in a direction parallel to said axis. An elongated slider element having an opening therein slidably engages said spiral whereby said element can be moved back and forth therealong, said opening overlying said spiral. A circular cover overlying said top end is manually rotatable thereabout, said cover having a radial slot therein extending from the center to the periphery, the element extending upwardly through said slot and being slidable therein whereby said opening can be selectively aligned with any one of said holes and access to all other holes is blocked simultaneously.

Abstract: A dispenser for delivering any one of three different quantities of uncooked spaghetti or the like elongated rod-like pasta elements. The dispenser consists of an elongated container with a removable lid having a central round opening and a series of rings of progressively decreasing diameter removably fitted within said round opening and within one another. A closing cap is removably fitted within the ring of smallest diameter. The rings may be selectively open for choosing the size of the opening required for the metering of the required portion of pasta. The pasta is discharged by turning the container upside down. When the cap is in closed position, the pasta is stored in the container in a hygienic manner. The lid is of arcuate shape to facilitate delivering of pasta.

Abstract: Patent of invention "Safety Package of Toothpick Holder", comprising only one cardboard, laterally equipped with four faces (1-2-3-4) and an edge (5) for glueing at the inner part of the opposite face i.e. (4), and having, at the uppermost side, two edges (19-22) overlaying one another and another (26) with three cuttings (29) where pass a trapezoid projection (31) of another edge (30), in such a way that the foldable ears (32) of such projection (31) block the cover. Furthermore, there are, at the said edge (22), a cutting (25) in alignment with a hole (F) for the output of the toothpicks. Similar edges form the bottom.

Abstract: A dispenser for sewing machine needles or the like comprising an upper part and a lower part. The lower part formed circularly is provided with reception shafts for sewing needles, which reception shafts are arranged secant-like. The upper part is mounted rotatably on the lower part. The upper part has an edge closing the front-sided push-in cross-section of the reception shafts, the edge being formed with a removal opening rotatable respectively in front of the push-in cross-section of the shafts.
