    Abstract: The charged particle storage system includes: a storage ring circulating, by a perturbating device, charged particles injected from outside; a power source supplying an electric current to the perturbating device; and a charged particle beam generating device. The charged particle beam generating device includes a DC accelerator that generates a constant voltage to accelerate electrons and thereby generates a beam of the electrons. While a current having its current intensity changing in a sinusoidal wave is caused to flow through the perturbating device continuously for at least 10 ?s by a power source, an electron beam output from the charged particle beam generating device is injected to the storage ring continuously for at least 10 ?s. Thus, a current larger than that stored by the conventional resonance injection method can be stored in the storage ring, and an X-ray having higher intensity can be generated.

The assembly of the capsules may be realized by forced insertion of the prefabricated capsules into a supple support, with or without previously cutting out placements of the capsules in the supports. Assembly of the capsules may likewise be done by moulding the prefabricated capsules in a supple support. Advantageously, the size of the capsules is optimized to ensure optimum matricial assembly of the pixels or correct balance of the non-printing areas, with for example a larger size for the capsules emitting its green light.

    Abstract: A cathode ray tube and a color selecting member, which can be manufactured without defects by using an existing projection aligner of a simple structure and can always produce a picture of high quality, in which phosphor layer has a pattern in stripes in the lateral direction of a screen, or in the horizontal direction and a color selecting member has slits elongated in the longitudinal direction of the screen, or in the horizontal scan line direction. Even in case of the thermal expansion of the color selecting member or a considerable longitudinal deviation between the exposure position at the time of manufacture and the position where an electron beam strikes in actual use, an electron beam can freely pass through the slits. Therefore, the accuracy of irradiation of the phosphor layer with the electron beam is not adversely influenced.
