Abstract: An LED lighting device with an elongated lighting cavity formed by two opposed elongated curved or angled structures is disclosed. The opposed elongated curved or angled structures are positioned such that the concave surfaces or acute angles of the two opposed structures are juxtaposed with respect to each to form the elongated lighting cavity having elongated openings. The LED lighting device included arrays of LED light engines attached to one or more surfaces of one or more of the two opposed elongated structures within the lighting cavity to emit light from the elongated openings. In accordance with the embodiments of the invention the relative positions of the opposed elongated curved or angled structures are adjustable to change the lighting profile emitted from the elongated openings.

Abstract: A theftproof lamp (100), including a lamp body (110) and a lamp cap (120). A spring member (140) and a ratchet wheel mechanism (130) are provided inside the lamp for cooperating with each other and enabling theftproof effect. When turning the lamp clockwise, the lamp can be screwed down to a lamp socket. When turning the lamp counter-clockwise, the lamp can only make repetitive circular motions around the ratchet wheel and therefore achieve the theftproof effect. When a user needs to remove the lamp in a safe way, a bolt (170) can be moved inwardly to block the spring member from moving upward, so that the lamp body, ratchet wheel and lamp cap form a whole, without any movement in relation to each other, and therefore allowing easy removal of the lamp.

The glass of the arc tube has light transmittance of 70% or less with respect to a wavelength of 340 nm, 50% or less with respect to 330 nm, and 15% or less with respect to 310 nm. The glass suppresses vaporization of the resin of the holder due to heat and ultraviolet ray emitted from the arc tube, thereby preventing adhesion of scattered resin to the inner surface of a globe of a lighting fixture.

Abstract: In a bulb-form lamp, a threaded portion 31 of a lamp cap 5, that is, a shell 30 is made of a conductive resin. The conductive resin shell 30 and an eyelet 50 constituting the lamp cap 5 are composite parts, which are molded integrally with a lamp case 20. A part of the conductive resin shell 30 is provided with a terminal connective portion 30a projecting into the lamp case 20. The terminal connective portion 30a is connected with an electrode terminal 40 led out of a printed circuit board 13 of a lighting circuit 14 so that the conductive resin shell 30 and the lighting circuit 14 are electrically connected. By doing so, it is possible to simplify the assembly of bulb-form lamp, and to reduce an assembly cost, and further, to manufacture a bulb-form lamp having a high quality and a lamp case for the bulb-form lamp.

  • Patent number: 6285119
Abstract: An electric lightbulb is provided for use with lightbulb sockets in either 110V or 220V screw type or bayonet circuits. The lightbulb includes a lamp portion and a cap portion, with the cap portion preferably containing circuitry. When the switch is on a high setting the lightbulb of this invention will last approximately twice as long as conventional incandescent bulbs, but at a low setting the bulb of this invention will last at least ten times as long as a conventional incandescent bulb. The lamp portion includes a filament attached to wires which are secured to the base of the lamp as well as to wires which are secured to an insulative sheath which is also held adjacent the base of the lamp. A metallic disk is maintained in contact with the sheath as well.
