Abstract: A carbon-coated thermal conductive material includes a coating layer comprising amorphous carbon on a surface of a thermal conductive material, wherein the thermal conductive material comprises a metal oxide, a metal nitride, a metal material, or a carbon-based material having a thermal conductivity of 10 W/mK or greater, the amorphous carbon is derived from carbon contained in an oxazine resin, a ratio of a peak intensity of a G band to a peak intensity of a D band is 1.0 or greater when the amorphous carbon is measured by Raman spectroscopy, an average film thickness of the coating layer is 500 nm or less, and a coefficient of variation (CV value) of a film thickness of the coating layer is 15% or less.
Abstract: There is provided a new electron beam apparatus which improves the instability of an electron emission characteristic and provides a high efficient electron emission characteristic. The electron beam apparatus includes: an insulating member having a recess on its surface; a cathode having a protruding portion extending over the outer surface of the insulating member and the inner surface of the recess; a gate positioned at the outer surface of the insulating member in opposition to the protruding portion; and an anode positioned in opposition to the protruding portion through the gate.
Abstract: A laser CRT includes a vacuum bulb provided with a metal flange, and a laser screen secured in the metal flange and having a laser target mounted on the side of the vacuum bulb. A high-voltage input passes through the wall of the vacuum bulb at a distance from the metal flange, the laser target being electrically insulated from the metal flange and connected to the high-voltage input through an electrically conductive element disposed inside the vacuum bulb. The laser CRT further includes two screening electrodes mounted inside the vacuum bulb in the interspace between the wall of the vacuum bulb, the metal flange, the high-voltage input and the electrically conductive element, the screening electrodes being respectively connected to the high-voltage input and to the metal flange and extending from them towards each other so as to prevent electrical discharges between the metal flange and the high-voltage input and between the metal flange and the electrically conductive element in the interspace.
Abstract: A color cathode ray tube is provided with a saddle-shaped shadow mask.As a result, the sensitivity to doming and microphonics of the mask is improved. This is advantageous, in particular, for a cathode ray tube having a very flat display window. Preferably, the display device in which the cathode ray tube is employed is provided with two dynamic quadrupoles, for example, in front of the electron gun and in front of a deflection unit.
