  • Publication number: 20140340295
Abstract: A light emitting diode (LED) backlight driving circuit includes a power supply, an LED light bar, and a constant current driving chip that adjusts brightness of the LED light bar. The constant current driving chip receives the PWM dimming signal. N boost units are connected in series between the power supply and the LED light bar, and the N boost units are connected in parallel with each other. Comparing units are correspondingly coupled to control ends of one or more of (N?1) boost units. When a duty ratio of the PWM dimming signal is less than a preset threshold, the comparing unit drives a corresponding boost unit to turn off. N is an integer greater than or equal to 2.

Abstract: The present invention overcomes image defects such as the brightness inclination or smears by reducing the line resistance of a power source bus line which supplies electricity to organic EL elements. A plurality of pixels which are arranged in a matrix array is connected to power source lines, and the plurality of power source lines are connected to a power source bus line. Both ends of the power source bus line are connected to a power source part via a FPC. By supplying electricity to both ends of the power source bus line from the power source part, the line resistance of the power source bus line can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 5043636
Abstract: The present invention encompasses a high voltage switch utilizing first and second terminal electrodes and an intermediate electrode disposed therebetween. A high voltage pulse, applied to the intermediate electrode, initiates sequential overvoltaging of the region between one of the terminal electrodes and the intermediate electrode and, then between the intermediate electrode and the other electrode; thereby permitting electrical current to flow between the terminal electrodes. The geometry of the electrodes is chosen so as to yield a field enhancement factor between each region which is sufficiently low to permit highly reliable, predictable, and controllable sequential electrical breakdown.

  • Patent number: 4688154
Abstract: Subject track lighting system comprises a more-or-less regular lighting track having at least two pairs of track conductors. Of these track conductors, an initial pair carries the regular 120 Volt/60 Hz power line voltage. Plugged into the track and connecting with the initial pair of track conductors is one or more voltage-conditioning adapters--with each such adapter receiving its input voltage from the initial pair of track conductors and providing its conditioned output voltage to one of the other pairs of track conductors. Thus, depending upon the particular functions provided by the adapters, the different pairs of track conductors may be used in independently different ways. For instance, with one adapter being a frequency converter with an output voltage of 12 Volt/30 kHz, the pair of track conductors to which its output is connected may be used directly with low-voltage Halogen lamps--while ordinary 120 Volt incandescent lamps may simultaneously be used with the initial pair of track conductors.
