Which Includes A Dropping Mercury Cell Patents (Class 324/440)
  • Patent number: 8326555
Abstract: A system and related method are provided for measuring conductivity/resistivity of water having high purity, including a temperature sensor and a conductivity/resistivity sensor exposed to a water source. The system further includes a computing assembly configured to receive measurement signals from the sensors and to determine change in resistivity over a change in temperature (a collected R/T slope) from the collected temperature measurements and the collected resistivity measurements. The system compares the collected R/T slope to a standardized R/T slope at a temperature value corresponding to a midpoint temperature of the temperature measurements over the prescribed time interval. Based on the comparing, the system provides providing a compensated measurement for resistivity or conductivity of the water source. As a result, the system can calibrate the sensor continually during use, in real time, resulting in highly improved accuracy.

  • Patent number: 8264251
Abstract: A solar cell characteristic measuring device measures the output characteristics of a solar cell while avoiding junction capacitance. The device provides a solar cell load circuit by connecting the solar cell with an electronic load device setting a load current or voltage variably, and a measurement circuit connecting voltage and current detectors with the load. An operation point control element divides the magnitude of the load, taken from the solar cell, of the electronic load device into a plurality ranging from states of opening to short-circuiting, while driving the load device in the load circuit periodically and intermittently, changing the load magnitude stepwise and controlling the operation point of the solar cell, and a processing element reading and processing the detected values of the voltage and current detectors at each drive period of the electronic load device and for the period of the stable output voltage of the solar cell.

  • Publication number: 20020079902
Abstract: The invention relates to an inductively operating sensor (1) for measuring the electrical conductivity of a fluid medium (2), having an excitation coil (3), to which an input signal is fed, and a receiver coil (4) coupled with the former via the fluid medium (2), which provides an output signal (IInd), which is a measurement for the conductivity of the fluid medium (2). To make possible the timely detection of damage to the windings of the excitation coil (3) or the receiver coil (4), or respectively a service cable for the sensor (1), which leads to leak currents or short circuits, it is proposed by the invention that the sensor (1) has means (5) for measuring a variable signal at the input of the excitation coil (3). The excitation coil (3) of the sensor is preferably fed by an input voltage (UErr), and the means (5) for measuring the variable signal preferably measure the input current (IErr) at the input of the excitation coil (3).

  • Patent number: 4204243
Abstract: A polarity indicating and reversing unit for connecting a power supply line to a load line, the unit having a polarity indicating lamp for indicating a reverse polarity condition at the load and and a polarity reversing switch for reversing the polarity of the voltage applied to the load and to the polarity indicator so that the polarity indicator also indicates when the reversed polarity condition has been corrected. The application also discloses a polarity indicating and reversing unit for connecting two two-wire plus ground power supply lines each having a neutral and a hot inlet conductor to a single three-wire plus ground load line having a common neutral and two hot outlet conductors. The latter polarity reversing unit has a polarity indicator lamp for indicating when above ground potential is applied to the neutral outlet conductor, and two polarity reversing switches which are selectively operable to reverse polarity of the connections of either of the two inlet lines to the common outlet line.
