Spirit Level Electric Illuminator Patents (Class 33/348.2)
  • Patent number: 12104924
Abstract: The invention is a modification of a standard level used for construction work to determine if a surface is horizontal, of to draw a reference line to indicate horizontal. The invention is an elongated 2×4 housing that is 24? long. In the center of the housing is a cut-out for a digital display of a length of LED lights, in the preferred embodiment nine lights. There are two cut-outs on either side of the center to provide hand-holds. Between these hand-hold cut-outs are circular displays with an LED strip with three lights. There is an on/off switch on one side and a control switch on the other side. When the control switch is turned on it activates an internal level circuit board is activated. When the level is placed on a surface it will display green when level. If it is not level it will display red, with a white light showing which way to move the level, similar to a standard level bubble.

Abstract: A method for identifying a surface slope includes the following steps: A device body with a tilt angle relative to an absolute horizontal plane and associated with a gravity is placed. A plurality of gravity response signals respectively corresponding to a plurality of angles readouts upon sensing the tilt angle are generated. Each of the plurality of gravity response signals is compared with a reference signal one by one to obtain a respective deviation comparison signal. An optical signal having a parameter is emitted according to a magnitude of the respective deviation comparison signal, wherein the parameter and the magnitude have a mathematical relationship therebetween.

  • Patent number: 9366532
Abstract: An illuminating spirit level apparatus comprises a spirit level base having a first vial assembly, a second vial assembly, a light, and a battery. The vial assemblies are each filled with a fluid, having a metal ball slidably disposed therein and having a pair of electrodes disposed at the central lengthwise point of on each side of the vial. The battery provides an electrical power source for the light, and the battery, the light, the electrodes of the first vial assembly, and the electrodes of the second vial assembly are electrically connected in series through circuitry wiring. When the spirit level base is placed in a level and/or plumb orientation, the metal ball in the relevant vial assembly moves to the center of that vial assembly contacting and electrically connecting the electrodes on either side of the vial assembly, resulting in the light illuminating with electricity from the battery.
