Parallelogram Type Patents (Class 33/664)
  • Patent number: 9308640
Abstract: An apparatus for marking conveyor belt ends to be bias angle finger spliced including a first rigid body marked with indicia including a centerline marking for alignment with a conveyor belt centerline and equally spaced measurement indicia marked outward from the centerline marking corresponding, respectively, to conveyor belt finger base points and a second rigid body marked with a centerline marking and equally spaced measurement indicia marked outward from the centerline marking corresponding, respectively, to conveyor belt fingertip points, wherein the measurement indicia between the first and second bodies is offset by half a spacing measurement from the centerline marking outward to differentiate the first and second bodies.

  • Patent number: 8122572
Abstract: A fastening device and a method of using same is provided. The fastening device includes a male member having a projection on a first side and a securing means on a second opposing side. A female member configured to receive the projection detachably secures the female member onto the male member. The female member and the male member comprises a ratchet system to removeably secure the female member onto the male member. The securing means on the second opposing side of the male member is configured to mate with a corresponding securing member mounted on an object. By securing a material such as a shade screen or a tarp on the male member by mating the male member with the female member, the shade screen or tarp may be detachably fastened onto an object.

  • Patent number: 6918190
Abstract: A mechanism for simultaneous angle adjustment of support elements (4), particularly for setting up a mold structure for the steps of a straight staircase, has a casing (9) in which at least two interdependent shafts (6) are arranged. Each of the shafts (6) extends into the next shaft in a nested configuration where the successive intervals between the shafts are adjustable. Each shaft has a threaded portion (6a) traversing an internally threaded block (11) that is located in the casing and holds one of the support elements (4). A shaft (12), running parallel to the two or more shafts (6), passes through the blocks and is equipped with eccentrics (13), where each of the eccentrics (13) is respectively associated with one of the blocks (11).

  • Patent number: 6321459
Abstract: A device for use in plotting equal spacings over a distance includes a frame comprising opposed first and second pairs of frame members with each frame member having opposed ends and pivotal connecting means for pivotally connecting adjacent frame members at respective ends thereof. Each of the first pair of frame members includes a plurality of longitudinally spaced-apart apertures disposed along its respective length. The device further includes a flexible linear member placed continuously through the apertures of said first pair of frame members to provide a plurality of parallel equally spaced apart linear elements which are disposed in substantially parallel relation with each other and with the second pair of frame members, and a marker element being slidably attached to each of the plurality of linear elements.

  • Patent number: 5174040
Abstract: A multi-leg caliper with heart scale allowing analysis over a variable plurality of heart beats for arrhythmia is taught. Briefly stated, a plurality of parallel members are pivotally connected to a second set of parallel members thereby forming a lattice structure. Points are disposed at one end of each of the first mentioned parallel members which are placed against certain events recorded on an ECG strip chart. Pivot points associated with the opposite ends of the pointed parallel members are placed against a scale which is suitably calibrated to indicate various heart beat criteria.

  • Patent number: 4769920
Abstract: Apparatus for cutting a plurality of generally parallel channels such as the steps and risers in a stringer for a staircase or the shelves in a book case which includes an elongated first, second, third and fourth members. Each member has first and second ends. The second end of the first member is pivotally connected to the first end of the second member, the second end of the second member is pivotally connected to the first end of the third member, the second end of the third member is pivotally connected to the first end of the fourth member and the second end of the fourth member is pivotally connected to the first end of the first member. The first, second, third and fourth members define a parallelogram with pivotable connections at the respective points of connection of the respective members. The angles intermediate pivotally connected members are adjustable by relative pivotable motion between the respective pivotally connected members.
