Pivoted Caliper Workpiece-contacting Means Patents (Class 33/674)
  • Patent number: 10427285
Abstract: A punching tool which comprises a body, a rod oriented in a first direction and comprising a free end configured to cooperate with the element to be punched, a guide sleeve containing a conduit extending from a first end face to a second end face and configured to rest against the part. The conduit comprises a first portion which opens at the first end face and is configured to house the body of the punching tool and to allow a translation movement of the body of the punching tool relative to the guide sleeve.

  • Patent number: 10011007
Abstract: A universal center punch has a body with a passage therein, a punch rod extending along the passage, a first leg pivotally mounted adjacent one side of the body so as to extend outwardly of the body, and a second leg pivotally mounted adjacent an opposite side of the body so as to extend outwardly of the body. The first and second legs are linked together so such that a movement of one of the legs causes a corresponding movement of the other leg. Each of the legs has a magnet thereon. An inclinometer can be removably affixed to the body so as to measure an inclination of the punch rod.

  • Patent number: 9545710
Abstract: An impact tool which provides a consistent level of impact force is provided. The internal mechanism of the impact tool has a trip release member and a hammer which remains in constant contact over a constant surface area throughout cycling of the impact tool. Additionally, the trip release member may slide against a slug having a straight conical surface to minimize variation. Moreover, the hammer may be non-rotateable so that a non round or asymmetrical head may be used.

  • Publication number: 20120266477
Abstract: A test device for testing whether the distance between centers meets specifications includes a support member, a benchmark member set on a first end of the support member, to be positioned at the first through hole, a test member set on a second end of the support member, to be positioned at the second through hole, and a sliding member defining a receiving slot. The test member is also slidable in a direction perpendicular to the slidable direction of the test member. If the test member can enter the receiving slot, the first article is qualified, if test member cannot enter the receiving slot, the second article does not meet the required standard.

  • Patent number: 7045088
Abstract: Components of a measuring tool such as a main beam (11) and a slider (12) of a caliper gauge (1) are formed by a synthetic resin containing carbon nanofiber and an electro-conductive electrode (15) is formed on the surface of the main beam (11) at a predetermined pitch, so that a production process can be simplified, rigidity of the components can be enhanced, linear expansion coefficient can be reduced, and anti-frictional properties can be improved, thus enhancing durability while improving measurement accuracy.

  • Patent number: 5398577
Abstract: A method and apparatus for aiming a tree to be felled including a tool for precisely marking a face notch to be cut into a tree trunk, said tool comprising a main body, an aiming rod on the main body, and two pivoting tree-engaging marking arms mounted pivotably together on the main body for partially encircling the tree trunk and identifying the upper and lower cuts of a generally horizontal portion of a hinging notch when the aiming rod is aimed in the direction of fall. The tool includes angular adjustments to allow marking an aiming notch which compensates for the lean of a tree and/or for trees with trunks of irregular cross section.
