Abstract: Disclosed is a mounting point locator tool for positioning a bracket of a drawer slide assembly such that the drawer slide assembly is square with the face frame of a cabinet carcass. The locator tool comprises a base perpendicularly extending from a first end of a rod. A bracket holding fixture is connected to a second end of the rod. In one embodiment, the base, the rod, and the fixture are ridgidly connected. In an alternate embodiment, the base is comprised of a sleeve extending generally perpendicular from a planar plate and slidingly engaged with the rod. The sleeve includes a pair of sides connected at a right angle for alignment with the face frame. The fixture includes a pair of prongs having edges spaced a predetermined distance and a set of slots having a predetermined width for releasably securing the bracket.
Abstract: An apparatus for marking the location of fixture and electrical boxes during construction or remodeling of a structure, having a pole with an attached ceiling marking assembly concentrically situated above a marking hole. A spring tensioned bolt is aligned with a ceiling fixture, or a wall marker attached to the side of the pole is aligned to a wall fixture and a mark is made at the base of the apparatus. A level ensures that the pole is properly oriented in a vertical direction. After hanging a rigid covering, such as drywall, the apparatus is aligned in position on top of the previously made floor marking, whereupon the bolt is released via a catch to make a mark on the ceiling drywall where the fixture box is located. Alternatively, the wall markers are used to mark the drywall locations of fixtures located on walls of the structure.
Abstract: Apparatus and methods associated with a center finder and marking tool are disclosed. A center finder and marking tool device includes a base that is configured to be positioned on a work piece surface. The base includes a bore hole. A body is disposed inside the bore hole and rotationally coupled to the base, wherein the body includes a first bore tunnel and a second bore tunnel. An optical center finder is disposed inside the first bore tunnel, and a marking tool is disposed inside the second bore tunnel.
Abstract: A track and punch SMR marking device, including a base, the base mounts for adjustment an SMR (spherically mounted retro-reflector), which in cooperation with a laser tracker beam locates the device precisely over an area where a punch mark is to be made, the base includes an upright sleeve, for holding a striker shaft, the striker shaft, at its lower end, includes a bevel, mating with the inclined surface of a cross slide, the cross slide, when it is urged forwardly, depresses a punch forcing it downwardly so as to provide a punch point or indentation upon the component to be worked.

Abstract: A drywall marking and scoring guide tool having a generally T shape that includes a U-shaped top channel to slidably engage the edge of a drywall sheet, the top channel having a perpendicular stem extending from the channel and incorporating a plurality of guide apertures incrementally spaced along the stem's length. The guide apertures to receive a marking or scoring device so as the guide is drawn down the length of a drywall sheet the surface of the sheet is scored or marked.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for improving rear wheel alignments for motorcycles having a swing arm suspension including a measuring rod for extending between a swing arm bolt or shaft and a rear axle of the motorcycle, a measuring rod having an end thereon for mechanically coupling with the swing arm bolt or shaft or a nut or other device coupled to the swing arm shaft or bolt so that the measuring rod is registered at a predetermined position with respect to the pivot shaft and further including a marker for marking a position along the measuring rod of a predetermined position of the rear axle of the motorcycle.
Abstract: A low-cost high-speed device for correcting the marking position of a laser marker, which uses a smaller quantity of corrective data and a simplified arithmetic operations, wherein corrective values for design parameters for a lens are obtained on the basis of a production tolerance of the lens. The design parameters of the lens are corrected according to the corrective values, and the distance for the lens to move is calculated from the corrected design parameters of the lens and the distance to a desired marking position. A move command corresponding to the calculated distance is outputted to lens drive means, and a pattern of a divided image is marked in the desired position.
