  • Patent number: 10917866
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a base station, a terminal device, and a communication system for inter-base station carrier aggregation. A primary base station of the terminal sends a message including indication information to request the terminal device to report a timing offset between the primary base station and a secondary base station of the UE. The secondary base station calculates a corrected measurement gap information according to a measurement gap information and the timing offset. In a second measurement gap period indicated by the corrected measurement gap information, the terminal device is not scheduled.

  • Patent number: 10904781
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may mitigate self-interference and intermodulation products caused by communicating over two carriers in order to improve measurements of a third carrier. The UE may determine a measurement configuration to determine the quality of the third carrier. The measurement configuration may include identifying time periods with no scheduled uplink transmissions, time periods with a transmit power below a power threshold, time periods with frequency locations with an expected lower intermodulation interference, or time periods with a scheduled reference signal transmission (e.g., a synchronization signal (SS) block). The UE may also reduce a transmit power for a time period or drop a scheduled uplink transmission in order to perform more accurate measurements on the third carrier. In some cases, a base station may schedule a measurement gap for the UE to perform the measurements.

The present invention consists of a housing containing an extensible and retractable roll of measuring tape and a dial disposed on the outer face of the housing. The dial is used to store a measured value so that it can be remembered at a later time. Worksites are often noisy places filled with distractions, making it very easy to forget or misremember a measurement. When an individual forgets a measurement they are forced to either guess at the measurement value, potentially resulting in wasted materials and money, or re-measure the article, wasting valuable time. The present tape measure circumvents these problems by providing an easy and intuitive means for storing a numeric value while measuring so that it can be used for later without the user having to risk misremembering the value.

Abstract: An improvement in the process of pillow selection is described, allowing customers to select a pillow that is appropriate for them in a less random manner. First, a method of selecting a pillow for a user is disclosed, comprising the steps of locating the user with a shoulder thereof adjacent a flat rigid surface, orienting the user substantially transverse to the surface, measuring a spacing between the surface and a proximate side of the user's head, and selecting at least one pillow from a group of pillows, based on the measured spacing. The rigid surface is ideally upright, such as a wall. The group of pillows can be divided into a plurality of sub-groups, each sub-group containing a plurality of pillows with substantially like thickness. Thus, based on the reading, the user can be invited to choose any pillow from a specific group or range of pillows.

Abstract: An apparatus and method determines the location of wafer boat plate elements having a plurality of plate elements arranged substantially parallel to each other. At least three sensors are moved along travel paths perpendicular to the plate elements, wherein at least a first travel path is above, at least a second travel path is below the wafer boat and at third travel path is laterally spaced from the first or second travel paths above or below the wafer boat. During this movement the position of the sensors along a respective travel path is determined continuously, and it is determined, in which position a respective plate element enters the measuring area of a sensor and exits the same. A distance between a sensor and an edge of a plate element is measured and the location of a respective plate element is determined by means of the sensor signals.

Abstract: In a method for determining a lift height of a work machine, a height measurement is carried out between a position along an approximately vertical movement axis of a lift element of the work machine to a reference point. In order to output a correct lift height constantly despite tire wear occurring on the wheel of the work machine, the reference point is formed by the floor.

Abstract: The invention provides a semiconductor device and a method of automatically inspecting the appearance, which achieves proper recognition of the size of a chipping occurring from an end portion of the semiconductor device toward the element forming region by an automatic appearance inspection machine, and prevents a problem of judging an appearance non-defective product as an appearance defective product. A semiconductor device includes a resin layer extending from an element forming region over a guard ring surrounding the element forming region so as to cover these except a plurality of portions of the guard ring, and a chipping extending from a chip end portion of a semiconductor device toward the end portion of the resin layer.

Abstract: A method for measuring a plate for a fuel cell stack includes providing a model of the plate including a first axis and a second axis. The model has at least one theoretical measurement feature with a theoretical set of coordinates. The plate is also provided with at least one measurement feature. The first axis and the second axis are established relative to the plate. The at least one measurement feature of the plate is then located relative to the first axis and the second axis. The at least one measurement feature is measured to determine a first set of coordinates for the at least one measurement feature. The first set of coordinates of the plate is compared to the theoretical set of coordinates of the model to determine a displacement of the first set of coordinates from the theoretical set of coordinates.

Abstract: A tape measure has a finger recess in a housing, with at least a portion of the underside of a tape blade exposed in the finger recess. Pressing a finger against the underside of the tape allows the user to create a drag brake that acts against the retraction spring to slow and/or stop the retraction of the tape blade. The finger recess is located upstream (i.e. closer to the coiled portion of the retracted tape blade) than the point at which the tape measure's lock engages the tape blade. This arrangement results in a compact yet versatile overall tape measure with good tactile feedback during finger-braking.
