Dial Indicator Shock Absorber Patents (Class 33/DIG6)
  • Patent number: 5768798
Abstract: A back-plunger type displacement detecting apparatus is provided having a thinner case. The back-plunger type displacement detecting apparatus has a spindle secured to the case to extend perpendicular to the display surface of a digital display unit. A movable member is secured to the case and extends perpendicular to the direction of movement of the spindle. A converting mechanism converts the displacement of the spindle into displacement of the movable member. An electrical unit detects the displacement of the movable member and displays the detected value on the digital display unit.

  • Patent number: 5189796
Abstract: The device, shown associated with a bore measuring machine, comprises two elements in engagement in the form of a bolt (20) and a nut (21) of reversible relative axial rotation and displacement. The bolt (20) is a threaded cylindrical sleeve mounted coaxial to the measurement rod (4) of the machine and with free rotation between two stops (9, 23) thereof, and the nut (21) is formed by an inner thread on the cylindrical body (1) of the machine. The force of friction developed by the relative bolt-nut rotation is adapted to yield to at least the pressure of the return spring (7) of the measurement rod and to constitute a brake for modulating the speed of the displacements in both directions of the measurement rod (4) in the body of the machine.

  • Patent number: 4566201
Abstract: This invention relates to a digital indication type dimension measuring instrument provided with a shock absorbing mechanism for controlling an overspeed of a spindle. The shock absorbing mechanism is provided with a pressure adjusting device which comprises a valve chamber having a communication hole communicated with a pressure chamber in a cylinder, an open hole communicated with the atmosphere and a ball valve for suitably opening or blocking the communication hole. When the spindle is inclined to a predetermined angle of inclination or more, the ball valve opens the communication hole to release a pressure fluid in the cylinder to the atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 4389784
Abstract: A comparator is provided including a body in which there is fastened a plate comprising a lever for transmission of movements of a pivoting feeler, and an amplification device, with gearing, actuated by said lever and driving a needle of a reading dial. The stroke of the transmission lever is limited by a rigid end-of-stroke stop. On the path of the transmission lever, a coil spring is arranged between its position of rest and its end-of-stroke position to protect the mechanism from accidental impact. In case of impact on the feeler, the energy developed by the amplification device is partly absorbed before the impact of transmission lever on the rigid end-of-stroke stop.

  • Patent number: 4153997
Abstract: A shock absorbing device for use in dial measuring instruments comprising a balance lever interposed between a pinion and a coaxial toothed wheel of the multiplier mechanism disposed between the movable indicator member and the movable feeler of the instrument, said balance lever being pivoted on the common axis of said pinion and toothed wheel and intercepting during its pivotal movement in one and the same direction a first radial driving finger integral with an arm connected to the pinion and a second radial driving finger integral with said toothed wheel, a resilient liaison being formed between the balance lever and the radial driving fingers by the opposed action of the ends of at least a spiral spring connected at its inner end to said balance lever.

  • Patent number: 4075763
Abstract: In a dial indicator gauge in which a stopper pin is provided on a spindle having a contact point so as to restrict the displacement range of the spindle by having the stopper pin come into contact with an inner face of an inner frame of the dial indicator gauge, the dial indicator gauge has a buffer member for softening and absorbing impact force as the stopper pin approaches said the inner frame face.

  • Patent number: 3975829
Abstract: A dimension measuring device for mechanical workpieces at the exit of a machine tool, comprising collection and guide means for the workpieces at the exit of the machine, and a measuring member disposed on the collection and guide means for measuring each of the workpieces as it passes the member; the measuring member itself comprises a contact element, resilient means for thrusting the contact element against the workpiece to be measured and power dissipation means connected to the contact element for making the contact element follow the profile of the workpiece which passes and for preventing the contact element from rebounding in consequence of the impacts of the workpieces.
