  • Patent number: 5483227
Abstract: A liquid level controller comprises of a control circuit, a control box, a sump pump, and a liquid level indicating means, the liquid level indicating means comprising a high level indicating device and an impulse indicating device, the high level indicating device and the impulse indicating device comprising pipe bodies, magnetic switches, floating element or impulse element. The pipe body of the impulse indicating device has a connecting pipe connected to the side thereof. The magnetic switches located on the top of the pipe bodies and connected to the control circuit with electric wires. When the liquid surface raises and buoys the floating element of the high level indicating device to contact the magnetic switch, the magnetic switch produces a signal to the control circuit and the sump pump is started to draw the liquid out of the tank.

  • Patent number: 5142257
Abstract: Device for the automatic reclosing of breakers, taking the form of an assembly (1) comprising a movable element (3) capable, as a result of a trip of the breaker, of being moved in order to actuate the setting member of the breaker so as to reclose it.It is defined in that the said movable element (3) is composed of a piston (4) which is mounted inside a stationary housing or enclosure (2) and the movements of which are obtained as a result of the variations in volume of an expandable body contained inside the said enclosure (2), these variations being caused by the heat released by an electrical resistor (8) when it is made live.

  • Patent number: 4499409
Abstract: A plugging defeat system for use with a reversible electric motor having a motor shaft. A slipping clutch-type mechanism is used to sense the speed and direction of the motor and to selectively open forward or reverse enabling switches when the motor reaches a predetermined speed. If operating in the forward direction, the clutch mechanism will open the reverse enabling switch, once the predetermined speed is reached, preventing motor reversal until the speed has fallen to a safe level, and vice versa.
