Each of the shield plates is configured to come into electrical contact with corresponding one of the movable contact springs moved in the contact opening position.

Abstract: A compact nonreciprocal circuit device in which a large amount of attenuation can be obtained at a predetermined frequency band without increasing cost. In the nonreciprocal circuit device, three central conductors are arranged to cross each other on a ferrite member to which a direct-current magnetic field is applied. An inductor is disposed at the bottom of a capacitor connected to a port of a first central conductor. The capacitor and the inductor constitute a series resonant circuit, by which a trap filter for signals passing through an isolator as the nonreciprocal circuit device is constituted. A resonance frequency of the series resonant circuit is set to be approximately twice the central frequency of a pass bandwidth of the isolator so that the second harmonic of a fundamental wave is attenuated. In addition, at the basic wave frequency, the series resonant circuit acts as capacitive impedance.

  • Patent number: 6133812
Abstract: A multipole, multiposition switching relay is provided. The switching relay includes an electromagnetic drive coil having a spring-biased plunger slidably mounted therein. The plunger is operably connected to a switching apparatus for connecting and disconnecting terminals of coaxial connectors. The drive coil pulls the plunger into its hollow center when an electric current is applied to the drive coil. A magnet located near the drive coil creates a magnetic field which maintains the plunger in the drive coil after the electric current has been disconnected from the drive coil, and the switching relay will remain in the chosen state. A second drive coil may be provided which shunts, or reverses, the magnetic field, allowing the plunger to return to its original position due to the biasing force provided by the spring. Energizing the second drive coil automatically resets any previously selected position of the first drive coil to its original position.

Abstract: Methods for the fabrication of miniature electromagnetic microwave switches are disclosed in this invention. In one embodiment, on a dielectric substrate, miniature electromagnetic switches for coplanar waveguide transmission lines are fabricated. In another embodiment, miniature electromagnetic microwave switches are fabricated for microstrip transmission lines. The miniature microwave switches are built on a dielectric substrate and are accompanied by miniature electromagnetic coils on the back of the substrate. The switch is controlled by regulating the dc current applied to the electromagnetic coil. A switch is ON when a dc controlling current is applied to the electromagnetic coil and is OFF when the controlling current is cut off. A reverse dc current may also be applied to the electromagnetic coil to repel the top electrode from the bottom electrode. The use of reverse current will prevent the possible sticking of the two electrodes, thus, reducing the switching time.
