Abstract: A network interface adapted for high speed networks. The interface includes isolation circuits with a transformer containing two primary coils and two secondary coils. A wire making up each primary coil may be twisted with a wire making up a secondary. These two coils may then be co-wound on a common core. The transformer may be connected to a common mode choke. The isolation circuit may be packaged such that the transformer and coil are in a line, with isolation circuits for a plurality of pairs arranged in parallel. The interface circuit may be packaged in a connector housing, which also may be adapted for high speed performance. The housing may receive multiple isolation circuits in parallel. The housing may also include a mating contact portion in which mating contacts for signal conductors of each pair are positioned along the same side of a cavity.

Abstract: An additional miniature switch or jumper switch to be integrated within the power connector of any device that is using transformer but that does not need to be connected to it all the time. The energy saving switch will disconnect the primary winding of the transformer from the voltage source when the device does not need to be powered. The energy saving switch could also be integrated within the turn-on/off circuit of any devices that is using transformer continuously plugged to a voltage source to power the device that may be turned-off either with an interrupter (mechanical or even electronically with remote control). The energy saving switch operates when a transformer is not in use but still wasting energy while connected to a voltage supply. The energy saving switch will simply disconnect the primary winding of the transformer when no device is connected or when the device is turned-off.

Abstract: Improvements in a power transformer condition monitor are disclosed with this application. The monitor operates with older existing transformers with and without integrated sensors and allows the device to determine the condition of transformers. The sensors monitor one or a multiple of voltage, current, temperature and or power factor. Thermal sensors are magnetically attached to the exterior of the power transformer. Voltage and current sensors are connected to the primary and secondary conductive wires. The monitor can be parasitically powered to operate with limited battery size. The only use of batteries or storage capacitors is when the supply voltage is lost. The monitor uses a localized board can have a large plurality of inputs for sensors. This allows multiple transformers to be locally connected to the monitor and thereby reduce the number of different communication devices and communication addresses over a Mesh, GPRS Cell network link network.

  • Patent number: 8013705
Abstract: A field coil assembly of an electromagnetic clutch for a compressor and a method for manufacturing the same, wherein the field coil assembly includes a coil installed in a core and made by winding a wire W and a connector coupled thereto. The connector is provided with a terminal which is electrically connected to one end of the wire W. A protective coating is formed at a connecting portion between the terminal and the end of the wire W to prevent the connecting portion of the wire W and the terminal from being exposed to the outside. Accordingly, the connecting portion between the terminal and the coil is not exposed to moisture or air, thereby preventing electric short circuit from occurring by galvanic corrosion between the terminal and the coil.
