Coil Supports Or Spacers Patents (Class 336/185)
  • Patent number: 4247889
Abstract: To decrease the internal resistance of a transformer operable as a television line transformer of the "diode-split" type, the secondary winding sections are matched to each other and to the frequency of operation of the transformer in such a manner that the current in the respective sections will flow at respectively different instants of time; in a preferred form, the winding sections, on the average, are tuned to a harmonic of the frequency of the signal applied to the primary and are positioned on winding forms or holders such that the distance between the bottom wall of the primary and the bottom wall of the secondary is constant over the entire length of the windings. Preferably, the tuning of the respective winding sections is effected by matching of the primary winding to the secondary within the region of the secondary winding sections.

  • Patent number: 4245206
Abstract: Winding structure for static electrical induction apparatus such as transformers, reactors, or the like. A winding assembly is disposed in a space formed between a pair of inner and outer insulation continuous walls which are disposed in a container so as to commonly include the vertical axis of the container thereby defining the space therebetween. An inner vertical coolant passage is formed between the winding assembly and the inner insulation wall and an outer vertical coolant passage is also formed between the winding assembly and the inner insulation wall. The winding assembly is composed of a plurality of coil units stacked on one another in the vertical direction with separation at predetermined intervals so as to form horizontal coolant passages between vertically adjacent ones of the coil units, the inner and outer vertical coolant passages communicating with each other through the horizontal coolant passages.

  • Patent number: 4229786
Abstract: In a fly-back transformer, the tertiary winding for obtaining the secondary B power source is wound in a position where the coupling with the primary winding is weak and where it interlinks the leakage flux of the secondary winding with the primary winding, and the output of the tertiary winding is rectified during the scanning period of a horizontal deflection circuit of a television receiver. Accordingly, only the wave crest value of the ringing is made smaller, regardless of the shot pulse to be obtained within the secondary winding.

  • Patent number: 4151500
Abstract: A line output transformer for a television receiver has a plurality of windings which surround a ferromagnetic core and are wound around an insulating support. The support has a plurality of grooves for receiving the respective windings, the defining wall of at least one of the grooves being provided with a slot intended to guide the starting end of a winding to the bottom of the groove and to inhibit contact between the starting end and subsequent turns wound in the groove.

  • Patent number: 4066955
Abstract: A high voltage transformer winding assembly is disclosed which enables tuning to preferably provide a rectangular pulse output for improving voltage regulation. The winding assembly comprises a pair of winding subassemblies mounted on opposite legs of a magnetic core. Each winding subassembly is provided with a plurality of windings. The plurality of windings of the two subassemblies are interconnected to form a plurality of winding pairs. The interconnection is such as to form an a-c null or minimal a-c voltage substantially at the connection point between the windings making up a winding pair. When the start turns of the windings are interconnected to form the winding pairs the a-c null of each winding pair appears adjacent the core to reduce the likelihood of corona discharge. The plurality of winding pairs are connected in d-c series aiding by means of diodes which provide a-c isolation between the winding pairs.

  • Patent number: 4039924
Abstract: A high voltage winding assembly is disclosed which provides a substantially rectangular high voltage pulse output in response to a magnetically coupled pulse input thereby resulting in improved regulation of the output voltage. A plurality of narrow width and relatively high windings, referred to as washer-shaped windings, is mounted over a primary winding. The height and width of each winding is selected to produce a predetermined capacitance of the winding. The washer-shaped windings are a-c electrically separated from each other by means of diodes connected in series between the windings. The use of the diodes and the selection of the proper height to width ratio positions the a-c null of each winding somewhere within the winding. The washer-shaped windings are separated or spaced from each other by means of a dielectric, the spacing controlling the leakage inductance of the high voltage winding without substantially affecting the capacitance.

  • Patent number: 4009340
Abstract: A rectangular loading coil case has front, back, side and end panels, with cable entry and exit provided in one end panel, and with a support structure attached to, for example, the front panel and comprising rods extending across the case with a series of beams extending in opposed pairs and supported on the rods by spacer members positioned on the rods. Assembled magazines of loading coils are supported on the beams, each magazine supported at one end by one of a pair of beams and supported at the other end by the other of the pair of beams. A plurality of magazines are carried by each pair of beams, to form a layer. The number of layers can vary.
