Plural Part Core Patents (Class 336/212)
  • Patent number: 8922324
Abstract: An ignition coil for internal combustion engine includes: a center core disposed on an inner side of a primary coil and a secondary coil and a side core disposed on an outer side of the primary and secondary coils whose one end face abuts on one end face of the center core and the other end face abuts on the other end face of the center core via a magnet. The side core is formed of a plurality of side core portions obtained by dividing laminated magnetic steel plates at different positions in a longitudinal direction thereof and has a superimposed portion in which the magnetic steel plates of the adjacent side core portions mutually superimpose between the different positions in the longitudinal direction. It thus becomes possible to provide an ignition coil for internal combustion engine capable of suppressing an increase of magnetic circuit resistance markedly without deteriorating assembly workability.

  • Patent number: 8907758
Abstract: A small reactor with high heat-release performance is provided. A reactor 1 includes an assembly (10) and a case (4), the assembly (10) having a coil (2) and a magnetic core (3) at which the coil (2) is arranged, the case (4) housing the assembly (10). The case (4) includes a bottom plate (40) that contacts a fixing object when the reactor (1) is installed on the fixing object, a side wall (41) that is mounted on the bottom plate (40) with an adhesive and surrounds the assembly (10), and a junction layer (42) that fixes the coil (2) to an inner surface of the bottom plate (40). The bottom plate (40) is formed of a material with higher thermal conductivity than that of the side wall (41). The reactor (1) easily transfers heat of the coil (2) to the bottom plate (40) and hence has high heat-release performance because the reactor (1) includes the bottom plate (40) with the high thermal conductivity and the coil (2) is joined to the bottom plate (40) through the junction layer (42).

Since the seam portion of the radially divided pieces 321 and 322 does not break the magnetic flux, no gaps that divide the magnetic flux occur between the divided pieces 321 and 322.
