A finger attached to the inner cabinet door provides for an interlock by engaging with a bolt communicating with the shaft preventing inadvertent opening of the cabinet when the fuse block is connected to power and/or connecting the fuse block to power when the cabinet door is open.

    Abstract: An electric power disconnection apparatus for a microwave oven which is capable of simply disconnecting the electric power supply to the system when disassembling an outer casing from a frame of a microwave oven by attaching a fuse holder to the outer casing, which includes an outer casing covering the upper portion and both sides of a frame, a fuse holder having a fuse insertion groove formed in the lower portion of the fuse holder and fixed to the outer casing, with a fuse being detachably inserted into the fuse insertion groove, and a noise filter having a plurality of power terminals formed on the surface thereof and a pair of spaced-apart fuse contact members, with the noise filter serving to prevent a noise generated inside the frame, with the both ends of the fuse electrically contacting with the fuse contact portions of the fuse contact members.

    Abstract: A fuse holder includes a fuse carrier insertable into a passageway in a fuse holder body mountable in a vertical panel opening. The fuse carrier supports an active fuse in a U-shaped recess loosely holding the fuse in a horizontal position extending parallel to the panel. The fuse holder body includes a shoulder adjacent the front end thereof for preventing the complete withdrawal of the fuse carrier from said fuse holder body when the fuse carrier is pulled to the front of the body. The fuse carrier has pivot pins for pivotally engaging this shoulder so that the carrier drops into a position where it hangs downwardly from said fuse holder body where a fuse releasably held on the carrier is exposed for removal. The fuse holder body and fuse carrier have releasable interlocking parts which become interlocked when the fuse carrier has been pushed into a fully retracted position within the fuse holder body where the fuse terminals engage with terminal clips.

    Abstract: A fuse assembly comprises a fuse unit and housing therefor made of insulating material and having an initially fully opened side through which said plug-in fuse unit was inserted into said housing. The fuse unit has a pair of spaced, parallel, confronting terminals with portions exposed to the exterior of said housing through spaced openings in the initially fully open side of the housing. A fuse link interconnects other portions of said terminals, the fuse link being positioned to pass by an initially uncovered portion of the initially fully open side of the housing as the fuse unit is inserted into the same. The housing has a closure flap which initially has a position exposing said portion of the initially fully open side of the housing so that the fuse link can pass into the housing therethrough. The flap is folded to cover this open housing portion when the fuse link passes into the housing.
