Abstract: A switching apparatus is provided for a fuse block that is disposed in a cabinet. The switching apparatus enables a user to connect and disconnect the fuse block from its power source when the interior of the cabinet is accessed. Locking mechanisms are provided to prevent the power supply from being reconnected to the fuse block 50 until cabinet door is closed, and the switching apparatus is turned on.

Abstract: A contact spring clip for a cartridge fuse blown fuse light indicator wherein the spring clip is manually squeezable for the installation and removal of the clip on the barrel of a cartridge fuse. The spring clip is provided with a track for holding an electrical contact assembly connected to the ferrules of the cartridge and which can either be connected to a blown fuse light indicator positioned at a location remote from the fuse, or connected to a blown fuse light indicator mounted on the electrical contact assembly.

Abstract: A sneak current protector comprises a block of non-conductive, preferably plastic material having at least two slots extending therethrough which are sized to receive adjacent terminals extending from a terminal block, such as 66 type terminals. An opening is provided through the block which is transverse to the slots and which communicates between the slots. A small cylindrical fuse element is loaded into this opening such that the opposed conductive ends of the fuse are exposed within the respective slots. The block is provided with a handle so that the slots of the block may be mounted directly onto a pair of adjacent terminals. During such mounting, the conductive ends of the cylindrical fuse will contact the terminals providing both a bridging function and a current overload protective function.

Abstract: A two component operating handle for opening and closing an electrical switch by a hook stick, the handle including a rigid portion mounted on the operating shaft of the electrical switch and a flexible portion mounted on the outer end of the rigid portion. The flexible portion including a pair of extensions extending outwardly to form an enclosed hook stick opening with the ends of the extensions terminating at a slot at the outer end of the handle so that the hook stick will be released from the opening on bending of one or both of the extensions to open the slot when the rigid portion of the handle engages a fixed stop.

Abstract: Electrical heater construction having a substantially closed housing containing controls therein and having a bracket unit carrying electrical heaters externally thereof, the housing having connectors detachably interconnected to the heaters externally to the housing and electrically interconnecting the heaters to the controls within the housing to be operated thereby. The housing has an externally accessible detachable arrangement and the bracket unit has a detachable arrangement detachably interconnected to the detachable arrangement of the housing in a manner that is accessible externally to the housing whereby the detachable arrangement of the bracket unit can be detached from the detachable arrangement of the housing without access to the interior of the housing so that the heaters can be detached from and/or attached to the housing without requiring the opening of the housing.
