Abstract: A fuse in form of breaking fusant by fusing breaking and mechanical breaking includes hollow shell; arc extinguishing medium filled in the shell; at least one piece of fusant arranged in the shell; and conductive terminals provided as penetrating through shell wall and capable to be connected to external circuit, two ends of the fusant are respectively connected with the conductive terminals, at least one breaking device that mechanically breaks the fusant is provided in the shell; driving device arranged outside the shell, after receiving external excitation signal, drives the breaking device to break the fusant in one of linear and rotational displacement modes or their combination; blocking structures are arranged between the breaking device and the shell wall; and the fusant located in the arc extinguishing medium is provided with weak positions where mechanical breaking strength of the fusant is reduced and fusing is easy to be achieved.
Abstract: A fuse includes a tube, a pair of blade terminals projecting from opposite ends of the tube, at least one fuse element disposed in the tube and electrically coupled between the terminals, and a pair of metallic end caps disposed on opposite ends of the tube. Electrically insulative elements are disposed between the end caps and the terminals. The tube is filled with an arc-quenching material inserted through a fill hole that is plugged by a plastic drive rivet. Each terminal is attached to a metallic end plate by means of a staking tang inserted into a slot of the end plate, and by means of a separate solder joint. Each insulative element includes an axial sleeve through which a respective terminal extends for a part of its length. The fuse element comprises a one-piece metal element bent to form a pair of parallel, superimposed strips divided into sections by means of fusible weak points.
Abstract: A fuse 15 includes a housing 2 of an insulative resin having a lid 13 and a housing body 11, and a fuse body 1 having a melting portion formed between a pair of press-connecting terminals 4 and 5 arranged in a staggered manner, the fuse body being received in the housing 2. A sheathed wire is press-connected to and retained by the press-connecting terminals 4 and 5 of the fuse body 1, a portion of the sheathed wire, mounted between the press-connecting terminals 4 and 5, being cut, to thereby provide a fuse which has a simple construction, and can be easily mounted at an existing circuit, and also to provide a method of mounting such a fuse.
Abstract: A cartridge fuse including a tubular insulating body, integrally formed ferrule terminals secured over the respective ends of the insulating body, and a fusible strip extending within the insulating body electrically interconnecting the ferrule terminals.
Abstract: A fuse for elevated circuit voltages, e.g. 4-34 kv, has a tubular insulating casing closed on both ends thereof by means of plug terminals. The latter are provided with blind bores of which each receives one end of a fusible element, a spring means for clamping said end of said fusible element against the lateral wall of said blind bore, and a solder joint conductively interconnecting said end of said fusible element and one of said plug terminals.
