Abstract: A fuse system has both a non-serviceable fuse and a fuse terminal system for selectively installing a serviceable fuse. When installed, the serviceable fuse provides a current flow path parallel to the non-serviceable fuse.

Abstract: The blade fuse comprises a fuse body, a pair of significantly parallel blades connecting the fuse body and partially extending thereof to form electric connections, and a blade box for receiving the fuse body and the parallel blades.

Abstract: An electrical safety connector fuse for insertion into a two- or three-pin electrical socket comprises a sealed, tamper-proof housing having live and neutral apertures, and live and neutral receptacles for receiving the prongs of a plug, live and neutral prongs for insertion into the socket, and a fuse disposed within the housing. The connector fuse desirably has an internal light which lights up when the fuse is connected to a live socket, a blocking member or gate to prevent a user from receiving an electric shock by inserting objects into the live aperture of the fuse, and an insulting coating on at least a part of the live prong to prevent electric shocks as the fuse is inserted into a socket.

Abstract: In a casing (2), there are accommodated a power-source side bus-bar (5) connected to a power source, a plurality of load side bus-bars (7) having respective terminals connected to respective electrical loads, a plurality of power devices (8) interposed between the power-source side bus-bar (5) and the load side bus-bars (7) to control power supply for the electrical loads; and a circuit baseplate (9) having a built-in driver circuit for transmitting control signals to the power devices (8). In the form of bare tips, the power devices (8) are arranged on and connected to the load side bus-bars (7) respectively. The power devices (8) are connected to the circuit baseplate (9) through wire bondings (11). The power devices (8) are also connected to the power-source side bus-bar (5) through wire bondings (12). Each load side bus-bar (7) has a tuning-fork type terminal (6) allowing an insertion of a plate-shaped terminal (50a) of a fuse (50).

Abstract: An automotive fuse is provided that allows connection of an external electrical device. The fuse has a hollow housing into which fit two electrical contacts, both having a conventional flat connector on one end. One of the contacts has a female spade type connector at its other end which is accessible by a male spade type connector through an aperture in the housing. The advantage is that it is not necessary to use an adaptor in order to make an external electrical connection.

Abstract: A lampholder includes a thermal protector for disconnecting the lamp from electrical power if the lampholder is overheated. The thermal protector is a packaged device and is held by a keeper. The keeper may be one piece with a contact to the lamp. Keepers for both glass and metal packaged thermal protectors are described.

Abstract: This two-piece fuse comprises a generally rectangular plastic, dielectric housing, and a one-piece wire conductor. The conductor is folded into generally W-shaped configuration, and its inverted, V-shaped center section is inserted into a central recess in the bottom of the housing in such manner that its two, spaced, V-shaped legs are bent around the grooved, rounded ends of a pair of rigid web sections which project from the underside of the housing. Opposite ends of the folded wire are secured in a pair of spaced openings in the housing so that the two V-shaped legs of the wire are supported in a common plane by two web sections of the housing. The diameter of the wire is greater than the depth of the groove in each web section so that portions of the wire legs project out of the grooves for engagement with contacts when the leg sections of the wire are inserted into a cooperating female receptacle.
