Selective, Sequentially Or Alternately Actuated Patents (Class 337/311)
  • Patent number: 10886085
Abstract: A temperature-controlled device for switching off a heating device at a limit temperature has a thermo-mechanical temperature sensor device, a switch-off device, and manual reactivation means. The switch-off device has switching means which are activated by a trigger for switching off the heating device. The manual reactivation means have a movable handle and transmission means for transmitting a force of an operator for reactivating the switching means after switching off the heating device by the trigger. The transmission means have a click spring which at the beginning is in a basic position and, when an operating force acting on said click spring exceeds a certain limit force, clicks to a deflected position. Said click spring in the basic position enables reactivating or re-switching on, respectively, of the switching means.

  • Patent number: 10873878
Abstract: A first communication device receives one or more aggregate medium access control (MAC) data units from respective one or more second communication devices, and generates one or more acknowledgement information fields. A first acknowledgement information field corresponds to a particular second communication device and includes a length indication that indicates a length of an acknowledgement field and the acknowledgment field of the indicated length. The length of the acknowledgement field is selected from a subset of predetermined lengths, among a set of predetermined lengths, the subset including multiple predetermined lengths that do not exceed a buffer size determined based on an acknowledgement setup procedure previously conducted between the first communication device and the particular second communication device.

  • Patent number: 9660791
Abstract: A communication apparatus and method for performing discontinuous reception in a mobile communication system is provided. The communication apparatus continues to turn on a receiver during a reception-on (Rx-on) period associated with persistent resource allocation to receives a packet, and receives a retransmission packet transmitted through the persistent resources at the Rx-on period spaced from the Rx-on period by a processing time of the retransmission packet given taking into account feedback information determined according to a reception error of the packet.

  • Patent number: 7688176
Abstract: A system is provided for allocating a transmission period in a wireless network system. An access point (AP) transmits a PSMP frame indicating a downlink period and an uplink period allocated to each station (STA), and at least one sub PSMP frame indicating an allocated downlink period for at least one of a retransmission of downlink data and a transmission of an ACK indicating successful receipt of uplink data. After exchanging data with the AP in the downlink and uplink periods indicated by the PSMP frame, an STA receives the each sub PSMP frame, and performs at least one of a reception of the retransmitted downlink data and a reception of the ACK in the downlink period indicated by the each sub MAP frame.

  • Patent number: 5877670
Abstract: A user adjustable switching controller for duty cycle regulating flow of current to an electrical load such as a resistance heater, particularly for cooking appliances. A load current switch, when closed by a user operated cam also energizes a heat motor which includes a resistive strip attached to one active leg of a U-shaped bi-metal member. In one embodiment the integrally formed load current switch snap spring is securely attached to the heated leg of a U-shaped bi-metal and the moveable contact arm pivoted on the base. The other leg of the U-shaped bi-metal is anchored to a base including one of the load-connecting stationary terminals; and, the anchored leg serves to provide ambient temperature compensation. In another embodiment, the integrally formed blade spring of the moveable contact member is pivoted on the active leg of the U-shaped bi-metal and the moveable contact arm welded to the base.

  • Patent number: 5101188
Abstract: A condition responsive switching apparatus with an alarm feature for use in refrigeration appliances, such as freezers or the like. The switching apparatus includes a contact operator which moves between first, second, and third positions in response to the pressure changes of a bellows. The bellows pressure increases and decreases in response to changes in temperature sensed at the appliance. The apparatus includes a first set of control contacts to provide energization of a compressor and a second set of alarm contacts to provide energization of an alarm circuit. The contact operator has a first dog which opens and closes the control set of contacts as the operator moves through a snap action increment of travel between the first and second positions. An alarm spring opposes the travel of a second dog of the contact operator beyond the second position with a preload force until the excess of the snap action energy of the operator is dissipated.
