  • Patent number: 11015755
Abstract: A sewage line plug assembly is disclosed herein. The assembly comprises a plug housing having a hollow configuration. Additionally, a diaphragm plate is disposed within the plug housing including a first element disposed on the first operative end of the diaphragm plate. Furthermore, first element is configured to depress due to pressure acting thereon due to sewage build up inside a sewage line. The housing further includes a second element disposed on the inner bottom end of the housing. Additionally, the second element interacts with the first element and is configured to depress due to depression of first element. Sewage line plug assembly further includes an alarm unit coupled to second element and configured to sound an alarm on depression of second element. The alarm sound of the alarm unit is configured to sound when the pressure exceeds a pre-determined threshold value.

  • Patent number: 10600595
Abstract: A pressure switch including: a spring blade; a ram pin having an angled bottom surface and laterally restrained in movement, where upward movement of the ram pin engages the spring blade such that the spring blade snap deflects to an engaged position, and where downward movement of the ram pin engages the spring blade such that the spring blade snap deflects to an unengaged position; a ball bearing in contact with the angled bottom surface of the ram pin; and an adjustment screw laterally restraining the ball bearing in movement, where a lateral inward movement of the adjustment screw relative to an outside surface of the pressure switch causes an upward movement of the ram pin, and where a lateral outward movement of the adjustment screw relative to the outside surface of the pressure switch causes a downward movement of the ram pin.

  • Patent number: 9058731
Abstract: A smoke detector system that includes an airflow barrier installed between a detector base unit and a mounting surface to ensure there is separation between the detector base unit and the mounting surface. The barrier isolates and seals the smoke detector to prevent the formation of condensation in or around the smoke detector. The barrier further includes a cavity that can collect condensation if condensation does occur. The condensation is then directed to a channel that extends around the periphery of the airflow barrier. Additionally, the channel includes weep holes so that condensation has a means to exit the detector.

  • Patent number: 8581686
Abstract: A reflowable thermal fuse includes a conduction element with first and second ends, disposed within a housing. The reflowable thermal fuse also includes an elastic element disposed within the housing and adapted to apply force on the conduction element in an activated state of the reflowable thermal fuse. A restraining element is utilized to secure the elastic element and prevent the elastic element from applying force on the conduction element in an installation state of the reflowable thermal fuse. Application of an activating current through the restraining element causes the restraining element to break and thereby release the elastic element and place the reflowable thermal fuse in the activated state.

  • Patent number: 6064294
Abstract: A temperature regulator operating with a hydraulic expansion capsule or diastat (5) has a lever mechanism (30) for force transmission between the diastat and the switch spring (21) of a snap switch (20). For protecting the switch spring against overloading, into the lever mechanism is integrated a buffer or shock absorber, which is elastically flexible above a limit force associated with the operating force of the switch spring in the switching point and below the limit force is substantially rigid. The standard unit formed by the shock absorber and the lever mechanism is formed by a rocker (31) in the form of a sheet metal bent part, which has a L-shaped pivot lever portion (40), with which is constructed in one piece a stop-limited opening clip spring (41) pretensioned in the opening direction.

  • Patent number: 4536736
Abstract: A bulb-and-capillary type temperature sensor move a fulcrummed lever arm for effecting tripping of a snap-acting switch. The lever arm has a resilient bimetal strip cantilevered thereon which is biased at its free end away from the lever by an adjustment screw threaded through the lever arm. The lever arm contacts the temperature sensor and the bimetal strip contacts the switch for transmitting lever amplified sensor movement for switch actuation. The bimetal strip serves the dual function of ambient temperature compensation of switch calibration and absorbs sensor over-travel after switch tripping.

  • Patent number: 4490708
Abstract: A condition responsive electric switch system comprises switch means which includes at least one set of contact elements defining a preselected open position, a preselected closed position, and a preselected initial contact make-break position, disposed between the open and closed positions. Switch actuating means is movable in actuating relation with the switch means for operating the contact elements selectively into and out of the three preselected positions. Spring means and temperature responsive means are connected to and impart motion to switch actuating means, with the spring means and temperature responsive means creating opposing forces on the switch actuating means. The condition responsive electric switch system has both positive and negative spring gradients including a force producing means having maximum absolute positive gradient forces F.sub.1 and F.sub.2 in which F.sub.

  • Patent number: 4110720
Abstract: A thermostatic control as shown and claimed in U.S. Pat. No. 3,135,849 in which the reed in this new disclosure has a pair of split legs. One leg of a first set of such pair is a flipper leg and the other leg of such first set carries a contact which is designed to be resistant to erosion from arcing and welding. One leg of another set of such pair of legs carries a contact which is designed to carry current in excess of 20 amp. at 250 V, the other leg of said other set is a flipper leg. A lost motion slot in a flipper spring provides a sequential drive for the two contacts carrying legs such that the arc resisting contact both makes and breaks the electrical circuit and the current carrying contact never makes or breaks the circuit but merely carries the current established by the arc resisting contact. The control as shown also eliminates a force multiplying adjusting lever and a pivot interface between such lever and the range lever.
