  • Patent number: 5816492
Abstract: A thermostat control having improved user controls wherein an analog version contains a binary coded switch for selectively setting a setpoint temperature. The binary coded switch is configured to have discrete positions corresponding to a plurality of setpoint temperature settings. It contains, among other things, a resistor network configured to produce a setpoint signal indicative of the binary coded switch position and a setpoint adjust switch for setting the binary coded switch position. Also, digital version having a man-machine interface port, wherein point information from a controller can be viewed and modified with the thermostat control device controls when a hardware passkey is inserted into the man-machine interface port.

  • Patent number: 5339065
Abstract: A miniature potentiometer suitable for mechanical adjustment of microwave circuits is provided. Furthermore, there is provided a dual, ganged potentiometer also suitable for mechanical adjustment of microwave circuits. The dual, ganged potentiometer provides reliable tracking of tapers between the two variable resistance elements. Yet further, there is provided a complete, microwave, T-pad attenuator circuit which is mechanically adjustable. The T-pad attenuator uses two ganged potentiometers, whose tapers track in a known non-linear fashion. The tapers may be logarithmic.

  • Patent number: 4845458
Abstract: A component assembly, for constituting an electrical part such a volume unit, comprises a pair of appropriate components, such as those approximate to each other in electrical characteristic, joined as a unit by a connecting plate. In use, the pair of components are separated by severing the connecting plate and are then coupled together to provide the electrical part.

  • Patent number: 4843366
Abstract: A wall box mounted voltage controller used in conjunction with a remotely located dimmer module for controlling multiple loads. The controller utilizes a printed circuit board structure and a multiplicity of control operators extendable from the printed circuit board structure. Each operator is linked to a potentiometer which in turn generates a electrical signal to control the intensity of the load via the dimmer module. High and low trim mechanisms for each signal are supported to the printed circuit board structure and are readily available for mechanical adjustment.
