Patent number: 6329898Abstract: In a multiple operation type electrical part of the invention, a clicking member is disposed between an insulating base member, being a component part of a first rotary electrical part, and a second rotary member, being a component part of a second rotary electrical part. Therefore, it is possible to provide a very small multiple operation type electrical part whose size in the axial direction thereof is reduced. Conventional multiple operation type electrical parts require, in addition to a first rotary electrical part, a clicking mechanism formed by two cases, a clicking member, and a rotary member. Therefore, conventional multiple operation type electrical parts use a large number of parts, is expensive, has poor productivity, and is large in the axial direction thereof. The multiple operation type electrical part overcomes these problems.Type: GrantFiled: May 6, 1999Date of Patent: December 11, 2001Assignee: Alps Electric Co., Ltd.Inventor: Shinichi Mizobuchi

Patent number: 6041868Abstract: A mechanism for controlling raised and lowered positions of a hitch-mounted implement includes a rotatable control knob coupled to a transducer, e.g., a potentiometer, for movement between first and second positions representing the raised and lowered positions, respectively, of the implement. The control knob has a button for locking the mechanism in the implement-transport position and for other purposes. A position knob includes a tang-like stop for limiting rotation of the control knob toward the second position. The position knob thereby "sets" a lowered position of the implement which is somewhat above the lowest possible position of the implement. The position knob may be rotated to locate the stop anywhere between two barriers which set the overall limits of travel of the control knob. Most preferably, the position knob is clamped between a barrier member and a console surface and is frictionally inhibited from rotating.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 1997Date of Patent: March 28, 2000Assignee: Case CorporationInventors: Janusz W. Patent number: 3988711Abstract: A control comprises two variable resistance controls connected in tandem to a concentric shaft arrangement, an inner shaft of the concentric shaft arrangement containing an energy absorber, the inner shaft and the energy absorber providing an energy absorbing means for the control. The inner shaft made of glass-filled thermo-plastic further provides sufficient resiliency to prevent permanent shaft deformation and related knob wobble upon subjection of the shaft to severe impact and the energy absorber gradually absorbing the energy of impact minimizes axial movement of the inner shaft by eliminating the additional normally required tolerance. Additionally, the percentages of the glass and plastic mixture employed in making the shaft control torsional deflection.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 1974Date of Patent: October 26, 1976Assignee: CTS CorporationInventors: John D.
