Unitary Movable Contact Electrically Bridges Resistance Portions Patents (Class 338/97)
  • Patent number: 6933470
Abstract: A method and apparatus for incremental seal wire activation, in one embodiment, is a method of sealing a seam of a bag. The method includes sealing a first side of the seam utilizing a first configuration. The method farther includes vacuuming gases from the bag. The method also includes sensing a vacuum condition responsive to vacuuming the bag. The method further includes shifting to a second configuration. The method also includes sealing a second side of the seam utilizing the second configuration.

  • Patent number: 6646525
Abstract: A microelectro-mechanical device which includes a fixed electrode formed on a substrate, the fixed electrode including a transparent, high resistance layer, and a moveable electrode formed with an anisotropic stress in a predetermined direction and disposed adjacent the fixed electrode. The device includes first and second electrically conductive regions which are isolated from one another by the fixed electrode. The moveable electrode moves to cover the fixed electrode and to electrically couple to the second conductive region, thus electrically coupling the first and second conductive regions, in response to a potential being applied across the fixed and moveable electrodes. The fixed electrode is transparent to electromagnetic signals or waves and the moveable electrode impedes or allows transmission of electromagnetic signals or waves.

  • Patent number: 5334967
Abstract: A voltage divider which can be manipulated so as to vary the output voltage thereof, prevents mechanical wear of the voltage divider element, provides continuous contact, and can be sealed so as to prevent interaction with the ambient atmosphere including first and second non-conductive substrates with a predetermined spaced portion therebetween. A first conductive strip on the second substrate is depressed across the spaced portion so as to contact at least one of a plurality of conductive taps on the first substrate, each of which are in contact with a voltage divider element so as to complete a desired circuit. By sliding while depressing the second substrate along its surface where the conductive strip is positioned, one or more successive taps are contacted so as to vary the voltage supplied to the circuit.

  • Patent number: 4631512
Abstract: A voltage dividing resistor device comprises a pair of electrode terminals applied with a voltage, a plurality of resistor bodies coupled between the pair of electrode terminals, an electrode terminal through which a divided voltage is obtained from an intermediate point located among the plurality of resistor bodies, and at least one conductor part formed to overlap with a part of at least one of the plurality of resistor bodies. An effective length of the resistor body which has a part thereof overlapping with the conductor part, is shortened by a length of the conductor part. The length of the conductor part is set depending on the divided voltage which is to be obtained.
